What an incredible catch of poltergeist activity. The spirit uses the energy from the lights to eventually get enough strength to tip the couch over. There are a couple of things I can see with the couch straight away. But first, the booming noise you hear when the couch starts tipping over is not the couch...I believe it is coming from the spirit. At 1:13 onwards you will see a line depressed into the back of the couch. At 1:11 you will actually see the fabric of the couch is pulled away for a split second as though the spirit has grabbed the couch. While the overhead light is flickering from 1:21 to 1:32 the light sensor in the corner is not picking up any movement. The cap the little boy is wearing looks like the caps worn about 100 years ago.

I've been following Von Koestler for years now and I've always been impressed by the quality of his documentation. Of course it could be hoaxed--so could anything for that matter. But I've had personal experience over a twenty-year period with this sort of energy, and I do know it can be genuine, of course. However, I would point out that this video is poorly documented, as to its location, time, and so on. This sort of factual information is terribly important, and Von Koestler should be aware of that.

Regardless of whether or not the series is fake, people watch it purely because it's entertaining. For one, I believe it's fake because, like most people, I can see the obvious flaws in his editing and rather than making it believable he chooses to go with clichés for viewing sake. But in this regard, it's similar to another internet horror/suspense series called Marble Hornets (which focuses on Slenderman). A quick online search and you can find alternate KZfaq accounts by the directors/actors of Marble Hornets making comedy videos, so there's every bit of evidence to show that it's fake; but people still watch it because it's entertaining. People watch The Shinning because it's entertaining; that doesn't mean it's real. People watch Paranormal Activity because it's entertaining; that doesn't mean it's real either. When it comes to paranormal-based films/series, everyone seems to feel the need to prove that it's fake; and if it's at all filmed there will always be someone calling it fake. The series never even claims to be real. "Poltergeist Diaries is a daily log of one mans life that is plagued with Paranormal Activity." If it was a true story, it would say something more like "Poltergeist Diaries is a daily log of one mans real life that is plagued with Paranormal Activity." Anyway, my point is that if someone wants to believe it's real, they can. If someone wants to believe it's fake, they can. Pointing out the flaws doesn't change anything, nor does giving it credit to show it's real. It's purely made and uploaded to KZfaq (I don't know why anyone would think credible content is coming from a random person on KZfaq) for entertainment and entertainment alone. So sit down, shut up and watch the series if you want to.

I do not believe that any of this video is fake. I have never experienced that roaring sound but I have been a victim to the heavy sliding sound, as if something were being dragged as nosily as possible in the room with you. This type of haunting starts slowly and accelerates to a daily event which I believe is done to terrify you so that you can not sleep, listen constantly for sounds ( note he had TV on with out sound) until you loose your job or your mind. This is the worst type of haunting that is out for the joy of destroying you and your family, as you loose friends along the way. I feel this is also a foreign (alien) specter.
