Thank you for going into so much detail. I`m a 58 yo woman with ET with a Jak 2 mutation. I was diagnosed in 2017. I have recently started getting spontaneous bruising and itching. The itching can be unbearable at times. I spoke to my nurse practitioner who asked me to get a blood test. My HB was 15 and my HCT was 45. My nurse practitioner said that these readings were ok. I pointed out to him that I was also Jak 2 positive and insisted that he spoke to my haematologist. This week, exactly 1 month later I ended up in hospital with food poisoning. They did routine blood tests. My HB is now 15.2 and my HCT is 45.8 and this is only 1 month since my last tests. Do you think that I am being pushy in trying to get an haematology appointment? I know that my results are under the threshold but given that I`m halfway there with a Jak 2 mutation really worries me.
