Can a 3mm carbon rod be joined using a 5mm outer, and 3mm inner carbon tube segment by insertion into the tube? For instance, in the creation of a long tent pole for very lightweight support?

They're pultruded strands of glassfibre treated with polyester resin. Sizes etc on our website

No, we give them a light sand with fine grit sandpaper to remove the splinters etc, so they're fine to handle
