Fun fact: Bike reflector means „Katzenauge“ in Germany, wich literally means Cateye or Cateyes. So I think the bike reflector at 2:42 with Garfield Eyes as the reflector itself is pretty cool and unique.

I genuinely collect garfield merch and the great thing about it is that they’ve made SO much for him that you’re always seeing something new, and there’s always something weirder. I own an official mug where he’s dressed up as either a slave driver or a dungeon master. whichever answer it is doesn’t make it any less insane.

i love the way pongon transitions between each type of item he's discussing, like he's talking about the teapots, then transitions into cups with "now of course we're going to need some cups to pour our tea in", like something about that is just so endearing :)

@@PolygonDonut Your scripting is fine in terms of repetition, it's actually very good but I personally think you should work on your humour more. There are of course funny moments, but all the comedy boils down to in my opinion is "random noise + "Hell nah" = funny", and I feel like it could be a lot more than that. Just my opinion though

Sooo here in Brazil, a fast food franchise called habbib's had a christmas Garfield toy line that was given away with some orders. This was years ago, like early 2000's/late 90's and for some reason, my mom collected most of them. So when Christmas comes around, my house is overtaken by them

One obscure Garfield thing that I think deserves to be mentioned is the freakish garfield pull-string doll. Their eyes have a very similar mechanism to the phones, where pulling the string causes them to flip fully open, but they also have this black plating around them that make them look really unnerving. I'm old, so I remember the Garfield fruit snacks, both the "tiny characters" and "Fruit Roll Up" varieties. They were pretty unremarkable really, they were just generic sugar infused fruit snacks. I do remember being bored at school and punching the characters out of the snack a few times.

I think since 加菲 looks like 咖啡(coffee) , whoever did the translation took a quick glance at the words, didn't read it right and thought it said coffee ^_^ when I first saw it I thought it said coffee too since I wasn't familiar with garfields chinese name :] ( 猫 just means cat so 咖啡猫 would mean coffee cat )

I remember having the 2004 movie TV toy, if you move the tail, the TV image change, I remember always getting the tail in my mouth because the texture was actually pretty satisfactory, that was a really hard punch of nostalgia for me lol

I had the Garfield mug! It was a gift for my birthday since I loved Garfield as a kid. It was him sitting on the see-saw and I think I got another one but I forgot since it was so long ago. Seeing the mugs sent me to a flashback of enjoying drinking from that thing. Good to know it was toxic! Added just the right amount of flavor from a cursed product to my juice

I actually have the "down the hatch" toy. How it works is there are these pieces of food that are like those jumping frog toys where you pull down on the back to make it jump. So you try to get all the food into Garfield's mouth. Also I have a weird Garfield plush that has a zipper on its back for no reason. Like there's not even a pouch, just a zipper.

So glad you brought up the Garfield fish tank/ night light. I actually own one that’s brand new with the original box and instructions. I really wanna set it up cause it’s been in storage for years, but I legit don’t have the space lol! 😂
