In this tutorial I'll show you how to create this easy and yet stunning pendant. You change up the design by making large coral pieces, changing the antiquing color or even change the color of the base clay.

This piece is lovely! It is also inspiring. I have so many ideas about my next project. I have to tell you , though, as a retired RN, every time you say "polyps" I picture something entirely different. If you want a laugh, look up the word :)

I've been watching Sharkfest and this matches the coral reefs perfectly. I really like how you attached the bale. I would definitely like to see the other way to make this pendant.

Cool project. I think if I were going to want to seal the polyp section, I would just dunk the entire thing in polyurethane varnish. I think that might strengthen the attachment of the polyps as well.

Well I got it done in nine hours I did too and they were pretty big I can’t tell what your sizes but I have hand cut mine and I made the dag on coral LOL small. Never again! Much better to make them larger like you did in the tutorial. Super easy to do but not when you decide to make 1 million pieces on one piece LOL

For those of us allergic to latex/rubber, are there any imitation rubber tubes available? It is nice to have the matte black tube, to focus your attention on the coral piece.

I am not sure. Black leather cord would work well as a substitute.

Hi Samantha, question... does the liquid clay cure to a hard surface, or to a rubbery surface? As always, thank you for sharing these wonderful videos!

Are the polyps baked before attaching? Could they be?
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials Жыл бұрын
No. I attached them while raw. You could attach them after baking them, but you'd need to use a lot of liquid clay to get them to stick.
