This polymer clay steampunk video is the 2ND in a new series I am doing. I show how to create gears in polymer clay and also what not do do. I take gears and put them into a wonderful picture format that you can recreate and hopefully it will also inspire you to use this wonderful element of steampunk in your own polymer clay creations moving forward!! Totally get it!! For some people, it's not a thing for them. For others, they love it!! LOLOL!! I love this because I can bring broader "abstract" elements into my larger works with the steampunk influences. I have been a HUGE abstract artist...probably from the cradle!! LOLOL!! Yep!! Me throwing food on the wall to create a pretty design!! LOLOL!! But thank you you truly for your kind compliment!!...I appreciate it!! I love that you took the time to show what did and didn't work. Did you cure in the oven, and did you try using the solid polymer clay with the molds?? Great outcome!!!😁😁🥰😍

Wow!! Bless you Miss Allison!! Thank you for your wonderful compliment here!! As to your questions, Yes on the oven. And since the molded area was so thin on the successful run of the putty molds, I did not use solid polymer clay. Alot of that was due to wanting to get the gears as thin as possible without a lot of thickness to them. Very much like their metal counterparts. I do hope that helps, lady!! I am planning to give you an idea of how I will be using this piece in that upcoming video. Part of this is I am still in the planning stages with it too. Also, I wanted to breakdown the elements of steampunk for many people because, it is hard to try and think about how to create in that style if you don't have a great understanding of how to do so. This is part of my goal in this series...plus these elements make great pieces to any abstract work. Sending you my biggest of big hugs!! :)
