Since the discovery in 1767 of Tahiti, the main island, the way of life of its inhabitants and its landscapes have seduced more than one artist.
From Bougainville to Gauguin, everyone who has approached its many islands has described its variations of blue and turquoise as “paradisiacal”. Continuing exploration in the Society Archipelago, we set course for Moorea, then Bora Bora.
This beautiful lagoon island draws its main resources from tourism, pearl harvesting and vanilla cultivation.

To sail in these waters....ai ya! If you have never heard the native people of the South Pacific sing you have missed one of the most sacred religious experiences of our lifetimes. Herman Melville's book Typee is an excellent narrative about culture in the mid 1800's. Fascinating read and a book I have read several times due to it's authentic source of living there after he jumped ship.

Beautiful island. Fascinating greenery hills trees seas. Inhabitants are friendly humorous gentle. Enjoy life by music and dancing. There is no Islamists. So no panic of Taliban Al Qaeda ISIS Hamas Hezbollah or PFI of India. Though India is amid jihadist threat. Lucky island

Il se trouve que la même année , j' étais moi-même à Tahiti en escale avec le porte hélicoptères Jeanne d' Arc ( ainsi qu' à Bora Bora etc ... ) . Etes-vous un ancien marin de " La Royale " ?? Merci .

Start each of these island topics with small map video snippets of showing their relative location with one another on an actual Earth Map. So Crazy expensive there, even people with there own accommodations like a water vessel don't stay there very long, it's hard to put a price tag on such a beautiful place,

Possibly the only money-making industry available long term would be resort vacation visitors, and that results in habitat deterioration including human inhabitants. The only other non-invasive method to preserve "Heaven on Earth" might be "global funding and preservation" laws, an impossible task in our current geopolitical turmoil.

Magnifique et félicitations pour ce voyage au pays des MERVEILLES qui a préservé ses cultures et art de les vivres malgré la colonisation des religions( pire que la siphilis et l’eau de feu ) qui ont échouées dans leurs tentatives de vouloir : cacher ces seins qu,ils ne devaient pas voir et pour les polynésiens : les saints qu’ils devaient louer 🤦♂️

They were not discovered by anyone. They were there all the time and fully inhabited. What if a Polynesian comes to Germany in 2024 and says he discovered that country ?........think about that and how we would treat that person. And very unfortunate that again christians killed the original beliefs.

le christianisme a tué beaucoup de traditions de par le monde. Lorsqu'il finissent par voir quelque chose de beau chez vous qu'ils n'ont pas chez eux, ils vous volent ce savoir, vous l'interdisent, vont l'étudier et le réadaptent pour enfin venir vous le revendre comme quelque chose que c'est eux qui l'ont crées. Heureusement de nos jours beaucoup de traditions renaissent. Un Tahitien ayant fini ses études d'anthropologie en France, a confessé que les blancs sont venus avec le christianisme soi-disant qu'il leur apportait la lumière alors que c'était du satanisme.
