This brings back childhood memories when I was the only "little" one allowed to learn Polynesian dancing at my dance studio. I loved the poi balls. My practice set was homemade by my baba. I was able to swing 4 at once.

My teacher let me demonstrate my poi ball skills in front of the class because we were learning about circular motion. I got extra credit :D

@PoiGhost yes... men used poi to gain dexterity in the wrists for their taiaha fighting staffs.

Lived in American Samoa for 4 years late 60's early 70's and our social studies was Maori and we learned poi ball stuff
