Polytunnel Construction on no budget (DIY polytunnel greenhouse build from reclaimed materials)

Polytunnel constuction: We built our homemade polytunnel greenhouse from whatever we had laying around on our property. We used a wire mesh panel from an old wood pellet container, a children’s playhouse we took down, some pallets and wood planks. The only things we bought for this project was a sheet of 6 x 10 meters of PVC cover and 4 concrete foundation blocks. The total cost for these was less than DKK 1000 ($150).

Gotta put a hinge on the front "door" of that compost pin. Otherwise, how will you remove the finished compost? Hoop house looks great 👍

Love the greenhouse but i am worried if it can hold snow! Perhaps needs some extra support before the next winter! Where do you live?

The wire mesh makes it really strong so I'm not worried about snow. We're in Denmark so we have plenty of snow :-)

You should get plants that are suited for your area. These have been developed to the cold climate in Denmark.

how far down do you have to dig to get the foundation blocks below the frost line. Here it is 30 inches.

Hi, sorry I don't know what it's called, they are made locally in Denmark and picked up in a homeowners store. I'm sure there's something like it where you live.
