Unglaublich, welche Energie die Band aus Norwegen auf die Bühne bringt. Die Fans japanischer Animes haben sich nach dem Film "Pom Poko" benannt, weil die die Energie und das Tempo des Films genau ihrem Credo als Liveband entsprechen. Das Quartett um Sängerin Ragnild lässt es krachen, ihre Songs sind explosiv, mit irre schnellen Gitarrensoli und treibenden Drums.

Omg this band is so unique and gorgeous! Really something brand new! It's pure joy, noise madness and every song is a refined masterpiece! Can't stop watching this unforgettable gig round and round again💪

They are extremely good, and my favourite discovery of the year, but not entirely unique. I invite you to listen to some Deerhoof and you'll hear some clear influences.

Yep, you are right. Their influences are undeniable. Yet, for me, Pom Poko have pretty authentic and distinctive attitude in pursuing this cool legacy, in terms of riffs, drums and vocals (Ragnhild has sometimes fabulous jazz and soul vocals too) and overall atmosphere of their music. And the Pom Poko stuff is definitely not just about this legacy. I stll get rocks off on it. 😉 ....And it's so inviting the world Phrases song And it's so inspiring That it might be all wrong... P.S. I start falling for Deerhof, ´cause I also love Blonde Redhead and Pixies who, in my eyes, resemble Deerhof in a way. I guess Deerhof are ardent listeners of their stuff, am I right?

haha, 29:15 is brillaint. The bassist comes in with the wrong note, and the look he and the singer share is wonderful. Just encapsulates the joy and energy of this wonderful band :)

omg, pom poko! I ❤️ you so much ..it's the harmony of her voice pitch with the effect-pedal power chords, it's brilliant and wonderful and badass, and she loves it so much, it's contagious love! I would very much like to see these guys
