Alan Biley would make a good TV pundit. Very articulate and clear in his speech and has a sense of humour too.

Two of the greatest goals at Fratton ever, with amazing commentary ta boot.

Christmas 1984. Biley 2 Oxford 1 in the mud. What a game; losing with 90 minutes up and Oxford still had time to hit the bar before the final whistle. I floated home on cloud nine. We enjoyed our Christmas with extra relish alright Brian Moore!

Got a lot of time for Alan Biley. When I was a kid playing football on Southsea common in the early 80s, I used to see him walking his dog. He always stopped and chatted to us and signed autographs. Great guy, really friendly and did well for us when he was down here.

Nice guy Alan but never good enough to play for Everton. Along with other guys like Alan Ainscow and Mike Ferguson, these were more your second division kind of players and should never have been Everton first teamers when they signed on the dotted line. In fact, even signing the dotted line was a step too far with those guys, they were never good enough. I can recall others, Glenn Keeley, Brian Borrows - Oh my Lord, Heaven forbid it!
