Un Tejano con mucho sabor, algo bueno tenia que salir de Laredo, Texas. I am very pruod Poncho, I lived most of my life in San Anton and I was craving for some style like yours...We need reformation y actualizacion en Tode el Estado y tu lo has logrado. Muchos han querido Lograrlo pero el tiempo no era el apropiado; Comenta un Peruano que ha pasado toda una vida en U.S.A ,desde New York since la Fania All Stars back in 1968... Cuando aprenderán que cuando hay un solo de un músico virtuoso, el centro de atracción es ése músico. Cuando Poncho ejecuta su solo, a nadie le importa la cara de los demás, ahí queremos ver solamente su ejecución. Aprendan, por Dios!

Poncho es un buen conguero pero no un virtuoso y el centro de atracción de la música son todos los todos los músicos. Poncho le debe mucho a ellos, nadie hubiera dado un centimo por sus solos jamás, han habido centenares de congueros mejores que hasta sin orquesta sonando destacan.

This is a perfect example of why the cameraman/woman should also be a musician. While bandleader Poncho Sanchez takes a solo, the camera swings all around, focusing on band members who are doing very little, some doing nothing. Only about half of Poncho's solo is in clear view. And most of that doesn't include his hands. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen soloists, particularly guitarists, completely ignored by the camera person. In one video I recently watched, the camera focused on the bassist while the guitar took an incredible solo. Not once did the guitarist get the attention he deserved. The camera actually focused on the bassist's hands, and he wasn't doing anything, absolutely nothing at all. Others have been every bit as troubling. So I wonder, do these camera operators NOT know who is soloing? It certainly seems so.
