Tap o’ Noth Permaculture - a Food Forest Farm

A fun day in the sun messing about in the pond on our raft. James's legend of a mum rolls up her sleeves and fixes a problem with our irrigation source. It's a day off from the permaculture market garden where we look at an area of the farm that gives us down time as well as being an integral part of the farm design.

We used to have a private Spring Water supply at our farm. What worked best for filters was a 6 feet long piece of 4-inch perforated land drain - covered with a fine mesh sock, which you tied around the outlet pipe. Never had a problem after that with blockages. We just used to shake it or brush it off once every three months or so.

Are there no carp that will eat the weeds? We use White Amur carp to control excess vegetation in our ponds in the States.

We are always thinking about stocking the pond with fish, including carp, but not sure they'll survive predation by the otters etc we have round here. would be nice though. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have the goats in because they don't like the rain. So they have spent the day moaning and twice two of the kids made a break for freedom. As soon as they got outside in the rain they started crying and tried to get back in 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m impressed. It is a beautiful song. 60's inspired. Lovely voice. The music fits very well with the videos, and gives a very nice atmosphere.
