Drain the pond completely. Let it dry up for a week or so. Get a large skid loader and a decent size excavator and you can clear/ dig/ haul out the dirt in two days. Way more cost effective and efficient way to do this job.

only problem that depends on the soil , that silt in the bottom would take 2 or 3 years to dry it would still be tacky to the touch, if it was sand I would agree

I might be wrong but wouldn't using a suction dredge like some gold prospectors use in rivers or if had money a bigger one work faster and easier run the hose to out of the way instead of going through a sluice box

What no big ole ugly watersnakes? I thought maybe we would see you pull out your sidearm and give us a show! (Just kidding). I had my 70 year pond dredged that my dad built. Snakes were going every which way.lol Great job!

It's time to deepen the fairway and clear the boat dock of dirt using a mini-dredger consisting of two motor pumps and a Bagermaster suction nozzle.

What's that saying if you have nothing nice to say don't say it.not bad for a first timer next time drain the pond let it sit for a day or 5 whatever it takes then dredge out a ditch to drain water then you can crawl on the muck with mats and ylj can get it all.

im not a pond digger but i would think that thing needed totally drained and dried out before reshaping. what a mess

Excavator is way too small. Rent a real excavator and get it done faster.

@@mikeybuilds8596 It's mainly the silt ponds above the main pond that needs some work and one of the dams. It's one of the last projects on my list that needs to be done, but I will let you know.

Dredging a pond and rock all over = bad news. In short, there is a reason why the pond is so shallow. No more videos. Hmmm...

Yes I'm an awfully busy individual. Not much time for videos. Whats the bad news. Dredging job went great pond looks great customer is happy. Was a stressful one but it went great.

Keep doing what your doing Mikey it's nice. To see some one working with out hundreds of thousands of pounds / dollers on plant n yea letsdig is right up there with his plant work.
