Awesome job again and thank you for sharing your talent. Like a few have said. If you got a thumb you would be able to get done much faster. And tearing down the log cabin would have been a lot easier expecialy with a thumb and tooth bucket.

Thank you! Thum would be very helpful for this job, but I have lots of work to do in very soft conditions. There is the thumb just extra weight. Don't need that so often. Maybe an extra grapple tool is a better option. It has a quick coupler. Thanks for watching! Cheers!

That was very enjoyable to watch, thanks for the great video and job well done! I love ponds (letsdig18 is one of my favourite). That tilting bucket comes in extremely handy and you did a fantastic job with it. When you handled the trees and especially the wood (barn teardown) a thumb would make the job easier/faster but its just more weight, another thing to maintain/break,.. I have a thumb on my 6 ton excavator and love it though. I wish I had your excavator+dump truck too :-) Hope to see more video from you especially pond building. Cheers

Thank you! I watch letsdig18 as well, he's great! Yeah, the thumb is great if you have to do this kind of job really often. I personally prefer extra grapple for this kind of work. I think that the thumb is great for stumps and debris when you clearing something like letsdig18 always does. That's just my opinion. Thank you for watching and commenting! Cheers!

A lovely job and a pleasure to watch. This is not a criticism, but I wondered if you'd be better having a thumb, particularly with the rocks and wood? It didn't seem to hold you back any, but was an observation.
@AFHProjects
@AFHProjects 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, but I prefer to have a separate grapple for this excavator. I don't need it too much, and it's just extra weight. I do a lot of work in soft places and I need to be light.

Was a little worried at the start! Two spades there, one here! Yet figured you might have a plan. Yet you were not the owner right? Would have been nice with a flow through the pond, as it will stagnate in only a month with hot weather and mosquitos will love it. Nice with a better deeper ditch for the track with a pipe under it, while you had the digger that is. Great job clearing the area though, very skilled and enjoying to watch. Thanks for the film
@AFHProjects

No, I'm not the owner. All the water flows through the pond. The flow is not so high. Dam is going to get spillway and water runs just over it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers!

What model of excavator is that? It's pretty neat. It almost looks like a Liebherr, but I see a Hyundai brand on it. I've also never seen a Hyundai machine with a two-piece boom before. Neat!

Yeah, it's Hyundai 160. 900 mm tracks and sits a bit lower. It doesn't have these upper track rollers. Just two sliders. I haven't seen any other this kind also. Thanks for watching!

New edition of an old project. Was it finally finished without a pile of dirt along the pond?
@AFHProjects
@AFHProjects 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I compressed that into one video. I don't know exactly. I did 3 ponds and clearing near there after that. One was that big pond when I got these 3 JCB excavators helping me out. They had a bigger and better dozer and they made a new road for that property as well. Maybe they graded that out. The owner even told me that maybe he wants it even bigger. I don't know how it ended up. I'm going to check it out someday in the spring for sure. Thanks for watching!

Birds only follow good people. Looks like the previous generation of farmers pulled all those stones out of the surrounding fields and left them near the house as material for some project that never happened - in a way you're finishing their work, decades later.
