GTO issues not included here: -Driveline problems with the driveshaft carrier bearing and rubber donuts (that eventually crack or dry rot from the hot exhaust) -BCM cable sometimes rubs against metal glove compartment bracket and causes electrical gremlins - ALL suspension bushings needs assistance; especially the front RR bushings (mentioned in the video), rear subframe bushings, rear diff insert, and ALL sway bar endlink bushings. Heavy 3750lb Aussie cows need suspension love. -stock struts and shocks are usually done by 50-60k miles. There are still some great aftermarket options from Pedders available, or BC if you spend the extra for the Swift spring upgrade. -Manual transmissions usually develop clutch issues. An LS7 clutch and FW is an excellent upgrade for a street goat. Monster LT1-S and SC twin disc I’d you’re gonna go beyond 500whp. -NO oil pressure gauge!!!! All 04-06 GTOs have the standard OP sensor at the rear of the intake manifold, but no gauge for the driver in the car. This means when your goat develops a low oil pressure issue, the car will not tell you until it’s too late (5psi and below). Most of these were design choices and cost cutting. The car was designed from 97-01 and a lot of it shows when you look under the car. Take that for what it’s worth. All that said, the 05-06 cars are where it’s at for factory hardware and performance potential. Factory IRS with LS2 corvette powertrain and the more desirable C5Z’s M12 gearing package in the T-56 manual (gears 1-3 are deeper than normal) The driveshaft, axles and possibly rear diff were all upgraded for 05-06. GTO does not stand for gas, tires, and oil. it stands for Gran Turismo Omologato, which is an Italian phrase that translates to "Grand Touring Homologated" in English. The term refers to cars that have been approved or homologated for competition in the FIA's Grand Touring Road Race class. To be considered a GTO, a production car must have at least 100 units made and meet certain technical specifications and minimums for production and sales.

I have a Torrid Red 2005, I love the purple as well, debating wrapping it that color one day or Midnight purple.

The GT0 and C6 shared the same brake calipers. I did a GTO/C6 disc brake upgrade in my 1992 RS Camaro 15 years ago. They dont have the raised "Corvette" logo like the C6 calipera do. Just a GTO decal that can be painted over.

Sorry to break it to you but the manual is extremely difficult to find 8 out of 10 for sale online are automatic

2004 - 2006 GTOs over the top Magnifico I just don’t get All the haters & knit pickers I’m glad for 05&06 they bumped up the hp & went with a better dual Exhaust yeah I love the Purple wish they would have done more & carried on with that color but I also love the Blue with blue interior but these Cars are super hot in bright red w/ red interior and black w/ red interior the bronze is gorgeous and so is the Spice Red the bright mustard Yellow is Unique but I would have loved too have seen bright Orange like on Shneider Trucks ( Omaha Orange )

You totally forgot to mention the spice red metallic, which only came in the 2006 GTO. I hate to break it to you but the 2005 and 2006 GTO with the 6.0 L are more rare than the 5.7 2004 GTO. The Holden Monero, which the GTO is based on has been produced since 2008 and every single model until 2005 were 5.7L V8. Making any Holden Monero or Pontiac, GTO in the 6.0L with the T56 transmission configuration more rare. Not to mention the 2005 and 2006 GTO came with bigger PBR brakes than the original 2004. Not to mention all the 2006 came with the unlock interior button with light up steering wheel controls which most GTO enthusiast never realize.
