I got one of these cute plants last year about 1 month after loosing my furbaby to liver cancer; so I call this plant my “Pharoh Tree” as a remembrance of my precious furbaby, Pharoh. It is important to know that water is stored in the trunk of this plant. Soil should dry out completely before watering. Loves sunshine! Loves humidity 50-60%, loves high temperatures 70°. Brown leaves would indicate underwatering. Like it went too long without water coupled with high light. To correct this, water with regular amount but don't overwater. Overwatering will cause the base to change color and appear damp. Without correcting this extra moisture will result in root rot that will eventually affect the base and kill the plant.

Thanks for the excellent video. Question; received ponytail in little plastic cup. It seems quite heavy. I'm thinking it's holding water. Can I move it to a tiny bit larger pot with dry soil without disturbing the roots? I know repotting should be done in the spring. I'm afraid for it's health. It's a 2 year old plant in a 3 inch cup. Sure it's root bound, but being root bound is a good thing, but it shouldn't be as heavy as it feels. Help. Thanks
