Fun fact in bedrock strongholds always have a 90% chance of spawning under a village. Idk if it's the same for Java tho.

As a java player: Bedrock is an absolute BEAST. I was able to run it at a butter smooth 60FPS on an old dell inspiron 7348 with a 4 core i5 on integrated graphics, 8GB Ram running of a 64GB SD card.

well bedrock is designed for consoles and pocket edition so it's gotta be light but bedrock having better fps is one of the only things it has over java

Once I learnt that Bedrock was originally made for the Pocket Edition and then was used as a base for any other supports then, all the differences made sense. Edit : Ok so 1,1k likes then ?

@simon's lair yeah but I'm 19. When I got into Minecraft, I was 9, and in elementary school, and when I finally got to play Minecraft with a cracked version it was 1.12 or some and then the computer died and I couldn't play for so long and now that finally have the real deal I felt like I needed to do the good research before playing, also to catch up on everything I missed and that's how I learned of all the difference between Java and Bedrock. So yeah, it's common knowledge, but life is made of periods, and I missed a Minecraft for a long time. Also sorry for exposing my complicated anime backstory for 2 episodes straight, we'll make up for that with a Bed Wars.

gfx-vsync = 0 but its still limited on 120 ≈ FPS on my PC because it gets always 122 → 120 up and down idk how to unlock it more i think we could even get like 500 FPS and the much funnießt thing is the Unlimited Framerate slider in the settings *UNLIMITED* 💀 AUGHHH

Bedrock also has more changes than just drowned swimming and shifting to use shields. In snow biomes, leaves turn white when left out in the snow and armor stands have arms.

The lag is due to vsync being enabled. There isn’t a way to disable it, but you can turn it off in the config file. Either that, or a resource pack that adds a button.

One of the biggest problem with bedrock edition is that the translating between java and bedrock are different. I am used to the java edition and the items’ name being different in bedrock makes it hard especially to play in creative mode. Other than that, there is something about the gameplay that i don’t know what but it feels not really good to play bedrock on pc. I really dk what it is but something is off.

Its definitely the mouse right click. I find it so difficult to manage that I have to change the keybinds and use multiple keybinds to get thru with it.

I recommend you to try the wither fight on bedrock next. From what I’ve heard, the java wither is easier than it’s bedrock counterpart Edit: came back to this comment due to the inflow of comments, why're there so many comments all of a sudden?

I've noticed this to be especially prevelant after 1.18, since they removed the Great Hills biome. Idk tho they might still spawn under mountains. . .

This was GREAT! There was emotion! There was drama! There was fighting! There was growth! There was an EPIC final hit to the dragon! If it was a film, I wouldn’t be surprised! By far one of the BEST Minecraft videos I’ve seen yet! You went from just finding differences, to beating the game! And I know I’m about 2 months late, but this was AWESOME!

as someone who started minecraft on bedrock, I used to love the pre-1.16 updates they always had new features and the deveopers never f'ed up the game until 1.16.200, bridging broke and renderdragon was introduced. renderdragon was so bad the only way to not use it was by using 1.16.100 or any 32bit version of the game and even 32bit no longer works because after 1.18.12, 32bit uses renderdragon. Renderdragon is the rendering engine used for rtx but causes extreme input delay and lag for even the highest line of gpus, extremely sad about the path mcpe is taking

Fun fact, if you see people labeling a specifc feature as bedrock exclusive, chances are that if it was something added before 2020, then it can also be found in the legacy editions of minecraft, making it not bedrock exclusive. This didn't apply to bad bedrock "features", as only the good features made it into legacy. Maybe they knew all along.

Legacy is made after java while bedrock is literally the faulty pocket edition version everyone knows being plastered into every mainstream device. When legacy was still being updated, pocket edition also was. So when something specific to pocket edition was introduced, it would usually make it into legacy in the next main update.

@@CaltheDeadMan Fast forward a couple of years, microsoft noticed how parents would stop parenting altogether and just give their toddlers a cellphone and call it a day, usually with a version of pocket edition, whose origin depended of the country in question. So now pocket edition was one of the best selling versions of minecraft, albeit with a different community that gave the impression it was filled with mentally challenged people all over the place. But even if this version ran worse, the company was making a lot of cash from these kiddies, so they decided to rebrand it as the main minecraft version and shove it everywhere so everything would revolve around that imperfect, clunky version made for mobile phones, so they could slowly and surely control every aspect of it, and make it friendly to advertisers.

I’m pretty sure that in bedrock Sometimes the stronghold spawns with no portal. Also strongholds spawn under villages. Also you can put a potion in a cauldron an tip up to 64 arrows of that potion. And other things

A true bedrock enjoyer: Pros - A better optimized game (while staying in vanilla may i remind you) - Cross play, and an easier way to connect to different worlds - You can earn money, even make a decent greens on marketplace content - a true Wither menace - Trident killers - Better, healthier community (a far more laid back, and respectful) - Portal based gold farms - Ability to bonemeal sugarcane - Better, more advanced skins - A more sensible things (what used to be a real campfire, now is turned into campmagma) - Leaves changing due to temperature - Water changing color due to a biome Theres more ofc, but thats from top of my head Cons - Terrible spawning rate, especially creepers - Ridiculous lags and bugs (such as massive frame drop due to magma cubes, and suffocating in a wall while teleporting over the other side through a portal) - Unreliable and tedious iron farms that get broken almost every update - Inability to pause a game even on a single world - Less data packs (modding) - No hardcore mode - No difficulty locking - No wider world customization - Quality of life and fun features/ bugs get removed, while broken java tnt/ carpet... mechanics still exist - Mojang not explaining that you dont have to spend money on marketplace cosmetics and content such as worlds. These are not a DLC, and they are not a vanilla feature that is locked in your world unless you pay for it - Leaving the annoying bugs/ features, and instead fixing, or nerfing the good stuff

Your descriptions make sense, rather than just vague references to rendering and complaints about something being harder or easier. I started on Bedrock, and I found Java challenging as well, but I could eventually adjust to it. Bedrock features I like: * tridents and drowns are more common(makes raiding shipwrecks not op) * villages are under strongholds * game runs far better * baby villagers have big heads making them look cuter * world generation exclusives like fallen trees and giant mushrooms in swamps. * cauldron exclusives Java features I like: * no marketplace lmao * better combat system (I like 1.9 combat) * less buggy * iron golem mechanics make more sense although I would like more updates to villagers when it comes to iron golem making * staring directly at Enderman make them stand still. * I personally like the look of vanilla Java over vanilla bedrock

Honestly, I think more people need to realize that neither version is, or ever will be perfect. They both have their quirks, and they both have their downsides, but as PonZie stated toward the end of the video, probably the best thing that the two versions can do at this point is to co-exist and learn from each other. Each version will gradually get closer to each other as the years go by, and who knows? Maybe some day Mojang will make one. single. universal. Minecraft... It could explain why they've been working so hard to develop an entire universal API for both versions in the form of Datapacks (on Java) and Behavior Packs (on Bedrock), to make modding that much easier for the entire community as a whole, and to give both the modding and Addon communities a sort of universal system that they can both use simultaneously! I'm rambling, but my point is that I really wish more people would stop hating the version they don't play, and instead start trying to nudge the two versions closer and closer until hopefully one day they can become one version!... No Java. No Bedrock. Just. ~ Minecraft ~

As a bedrock player my first time playing java my lama didnt die nor my cats nor sheep or dog, but i still cry because the enderdragon killed my goat wilbur.😪 i am also sad for blanket and sandy. They were so nice.

I played Bedrock for MULTIPLE years on my Switch, because I didn’t have a PC, and then once I got my PC the first thing I did was get Java and it felt like pure bliss. I played it for 7 hours on end, just figuring everything out and I just had a really good time. I personally don’t have a favorite but Java I definitely play more.

For a Bedrock player like me on the Switch, I'm still having fun as I made a new world as I got some good trades from villagers (Even though it took hours on getting the right Enchanted Book trades) as I made my home base kinda close to the village, not too close so the villagers don't get any jobs I don't want them getting at the moment.

But in bedrock u cant see good in caves and diamonds rare but in bedwars skywars u can build fast hit fast bedrock still the best for even i dont play java once in my life

You can place a block, jump on top of the block where you aim your crosshair to the edge of the block then you start holding the place blocks button on ur mouse and hold space bar and w and ctrl

Be warned: If you plan on fighting the Wither on Bedrock, it has 400 health and becomes immune to projectiles at 50% hp, as well as summoning Wither Skeletons... Have F U N ! !
