I'm proud to be a Louisianian where at least I know I'm a Cajun,and I won't forget the Cajun's who died, who gave that right to me, I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today, there ain't no doubt I love Louisiana, God Bless Louisiana.

BTW: I am from Louisiana and the majority of my people are Cajun French. The old people still speak with the accent that I adore, and they are, without a doubt, some of the most intelligent people I know. ~Peace out.

My blood may say I am not Cajun but in my hearts of hearts I was born in the wrong state. I married a Good ole Cajun boy and I love everything about Louisiana. My mother n law calls me a honorary Cajun. I eat the food down from there (crawfish, gator, turtle, boudin, gumbo....I mean with all the spice and everything.....had to get used to it of course lol What I am getting at is I love this video and I understand everything they are saying lol. Keep up the good job Poo Poo

Metaloustic, If you were educated in the field of Linguistics, you would recognize the unique dialect as being Cajun. When a group of people are isolated from others (even who speak the same language) their speech will develop phonologically different in grammar, and even vocabulary, from their counterparts. I am educated in the field of Linguistics and Anthropology. I study cultures from all over the world, and I have found that ones language has absolutely no bearing on intelligence.

by the way im not cajun, but im acadian and my roots are french. if ur cajun and u dont speak french, its a shame, Learn it and learn it to your child to preserved our french culture . Notre langue doit survivre a l'imperialisme anglais.

As a fellow descendant of Acadian roots, I really liked and respected your comment. When our ancestors, the Acadian’s arrived and settled into their homelands of Louisiana they were known as “Acadian’s”… Over the years, it started morphing into what we now call, “Cajun’s”. Probably because it was easier to say…? But, I just have so much pride and honor in my Acadian roots - and the way they solidified the heart of the Cajun culture beats proudly in my heart today. Stay blessed.
