It’s actually a good strat, because if no one hides there, there’s a good chance someone won’t be hiding in the one thing that the seeker doesn’t choose (besides the horse things). But it someone sacrifices themselves to get rid of one of their chances, the other two people have a better chance at actually surviving

The seeker can check 5 of 6 places without hiding behind the ponies, meaning that if everyone picks their own spot the odds are at an even 50/50 of either team winning l. However, if one person hides behind the ponies, the seeker can pick 4 of the six remaining spots. I can’t do the math on the actual likelihood of both people being found, but the likelihood that one person is found is 2/3. And now that I just wrote all this, I’m pretty sure that would make the odds of the seeker winning 4/9, meaning that it does give a slight advantage. Lmao ig I’m full of shit
