I see Pooh as a youngin that definitely had to grow up fast in the south. For 21 years old, he carry himself well and seems to have a certain maturity that a lot of his peers don’t exhibit. Growing up humbled and hardened will take its toll on a person’s character. I’m talking about in regards to anything being relavant in main stream hip hop or even popular underground hip hop channels coming out of Memphis in the last 10 years. There’s nobody bigger then Dolph and Gotti. They paved the way for Black Youngsta, Moneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa, and now Pooh Shiesty. These guys were the only 2 keeping Memphis relevant and although they beefed it was at the end of the day their names and legacies that were strong enough to maintain a decade of the industry and then usher in the new guys. We wouldn’t look at Memphis as a talent pool rn without them. Not to mention 42 Dugg got his break from Gotti as well.
