Again, great video and so far the best description of CTE. With those 5 degree adjustments, you have actually made CTE usable. However, still several points to be aware: 1. The objective of CTE is to provide an easier to follow aiming system than estimating the ghost ball. However, with the current system Chris introduced, a player needs to estimate the cutting angle, the ABC point on the object ball, and also the half-tip pivot on the cue ball. In my opinion, with all these estimations, it has questionably lost its meaning of a "better" aiming system than just ghost ball aiming. 2. Even a player can follow every step and make all the above estimations correctly, whether or not the player can shoot exactly along where he/she aims would be another question. In my opinion, any aiming system should only be practiced AFTER one can consistently shoot straight stop shots, or at least get a practice cue ball which can give some clear feedback. 3. I am still not an advocate of CTE because all actions rely on pivoting (or sweeping) but still, again, NOT A WORD about bridge lengths was mentioned throughout the video. Just think about it: a player bridging 2 inches from the cue ball would definitely have different pivoting results than a player bridging 8 inches away. Anyways, I really like your videos and I appreciate your great effort. I am just raising these points up and hope they become a good amendment.

Why I watch Chris's lessons is that he is strikingly honest His lessons opens my mind to what he demonstrates with simplicity and yet technical enough to tease my curiosity on the subject. This CTE aiming was well thought out and presented in a professional manner. Great job Chris, keep on teaching.

Since I've heard CTE way back 2006 and search You Tube, I never encounter a very SIMPLE yet effective/understandable video like these. Keep up the good work and more power.

The intro is like a comedy skit, just shoot the ball, such an easy shot, but really, I didn't even know what a sweep was, then go get your broom. You're a great teacher.

I do find, to my thinking, that there is no need to 'rename' the ABC/CBA aim points of the object ball relative to the direction of the cut. In my opinion, it over complicates the discussion. I think that, for purposes of discussion, "A" and "C" should remain the same regardless of the left/right cut. Exmpl., on a typical left cut we focus on "C" and on a right cut we focus on "A". Otherwise it's just something else to think about... and it's not as if we don't have enough to think about already.😊😊

I was just starting to wonder if you had stopped making videos. Now I have mixed reviews about this one. The first 8 minutes, I think didn't help me much at all. Personally. I hope it does help other people, and I appreciate you taking the time to try and enunciate how exactly this system works. And I am really interested in this system, but I cant seem to grasp the subtleties. I thought I did, so I took it to the table after your last video, but couldn't get it to work. A little more stuck with me this time from 10 minutes on, but will have to take it to the table again and see. I feel very comfortable with my shot making ability, but, this could surely add to my Hail Mary shots, akin to memorizing a kicking system to get you out of a jam. Again, thank you for taking time and trying to explain to the rest of us. And looking forward to your next topic. :)

Actually inside pivot is the one that thinns the cut, and outside pivot is the one that thickens the cut, per Stan Shuffet's CTE Pro1 aiming system. He named inside and outside pivot per the starting pre-pivot cue tip position. And about the visuals - 15° and 30° perception are two line visual perceptions which consist of aiming line and sight line, aiming line is inside CB edge to OB inside quarter or center, sight line is center to outside OB edge. You first align to aiming line, and then you move your head/vision a little left or right until you can see BOTH LINES AT THE SAME TIME. 45° and 60° perceptions are one line perceptions that do not have a CTE sight line, just the aiming line - CB inside edge to OB outside quarter and outside 1/8. And since your perception is actually a two line visual for most cut shots, and you aren't aligned directly behind either line since you have to see them both at the same time, you actually aren't at that exact angle which than forces you to pivot on every shot. For example, on a 30° perception, your visual center is gonna be closer and arround the inside CB quarter to outside OB quarter because you have to see both CTE sight line and inside CB edge to OB center aiming line, and its not directly on CTE sight line, so you do have to pivot again. And also you don't have to "correct" anything for angles inbetween because, if you get the perceptions the correct way so it really is a perception and you're not standing directly behind the lines, than you'll see that for the same perception and different placement of balls on the table and a bit different angles you'll also be a little differently placed in regards of center of the CB towards the spot on the OB, there is still no exact explanation why this happens but it does and that is why same perception can work with same pivot/sweep for different angles. Also your inside (thinning, not thickening) sweep/pivot for 15° should be the same as outside (thickening, not thinning) sweep/pivot for 30° perception, they're interchangable per Stan Shuffet. Most, if not all, what I shared here is already on the AZbilliards forum.

I am certain you did very well in your explanation of this most difficult of subjects. Too many times I've listened to the, so called "experts" muddle through their confusing tutorials. You have a good way of explaining things. The 'thumbs up' to "thumbs down" ratio is representative of that. Good job.
