Great drill. Shocked I finished in less than an hour. Deployed a few different spins than Niels to finish the last balls. Niels is quite a character. Such a nice and seemingly genial guy in his KZfaq lessons, but he looks like he wants to rip every opponent’s head off when he’s playing competitively. Not quite as much now that he’s older, but the intense ornery-looking player is still there! 🤓

@@jasonnieuwenhuis335 it's how the Mosconi Cup originally started. I have no doubt America would love to take on one country at a time. When the European's literally have ALL OF A HUGE CONTINENT to pick their players from and then go against one country - ya, it is tough. But we American's like it being tough - but it does get frustrating. America has a lot of talent, but the sport of pool is much more popular, it seems, in Europe and therefore Europe is very very deep in talent. In America, American football, basketball, and baseball are by FAR the most popular sports so kids in America just gravitate to those sports. It would be nice to see American's appreciate how great of a game pool is. Ok, my mini rant is over. Again, many American's wonder why ONE COUNTRY has to take on an entire HUGE continent, but that is how the Mosconi Cup came to be - and it ain't changing any time soon. America was very competitive this year and just a few years ago won back to back. But when you are facing Filler, Shaw, Sanchez, Alcaide, and guys like that - shit, that is tough.

Quick Question: When you're in a match are you actually thinking..."If Im at this diamond and I need to go here for position then I should hit whatever o'clock on the cue ball"(Just a general example).... Or are you just feeling the shot, visualizing the shot and then naturally moving your tip position to what "feels" right?? Thank you for these amazing instructional videos! I never liked doing drills because of a few reasons. If I spend a lot of time on a drill that isn't necessary, I'm wasting my time. Also, the spin that the drill instructor suggested never worked, seemed impossible. I am a extremely good pool player. I've been playing for over 30 years. Hours a day. I kind of play off of feel and instincts. After watching this video, I understand drills now. So many factors in a shot. That's why pros are pros because they know exactly what speed, spin and pace to use on every shot. However, this is the best drill I've ever tried. I needed a few tries on a couple of them. I will do this drill everyday from now on. Because I know its valuable and I enjoy it. Thank you so much for everything you do for us. Happy Holidays!!

What about concetrate and focus on the table and game while playing a tournament? How can calm you self and your mind, when it starting to make you nervous and feel anxious? How can, imeddiately, turn your mind into calm position, before the end of the frame? thank you for your time.

Fantastic drill!!!!! Making the ball and putting the cue ball where I want it on these types of shots is something I really struggle with. This is the first time I have seen this drill. I went down to my local pool hall in Manila and tried this drill. Easily the toughest drill I have even done. Really struggled with it and a number of good local players tried it and they really struggled with it. What I like about this drill is that you have to make the shots with english (most of them) and you have to figure out how much english to use and how much speed to use to get where you want. This is a damn tough drill, but it already has helped me with only a few hours doing it. This drill really makes you think about angles and where the ball is going.

This is my favorite drill so far. It’s difficult but so rewarding each time you hit the target ball. I noticed I have to hit with less speed than you for each ball. Could that be because I’m shooting on an 8 foot table vs. a 9 foot table?

Trying this drill 2 ways: 1) As presented (for breakouts) -just hit the target and don't worry about the cueball 2) stopping cueball at target ( For cueball position) Ensure cueball finishes within 1-2 balls of target With #2, Sometimes a) can't get to or is really hard to get to desired target Good to know your limitations before planning your shot. Try something else that might work. b) Needs different English than #1 ...both are hard, but get easier with repetition.😂
