Pool/Spa Emergency Shut-Off Button Test | Pentair ESO-2

This is a Pentair ESO-2 emergency shut-off button. In the event of any emergency relating to a pool, hot tub, or spa these special emergency shut-off buttons are designed to be activated by anyone. Once pushed the spa pump, jet pump, and other water systems will shut down until the button is reset. Specific codes vary, but codes usually require these buttons when a hot tub is present. I do not recommend testing these buttons without permission in public when there is no emergency, please obtain special permission (like I had). Thank you for watching!

The hot tub at the clubhouse in my Grandparent’s community has something similar, except it has a grey EST integrity with a blue strobe hooked up instead of a piezo.

When your doing the next system test and your testing the smoke detector with real smoke, use pressurized air or blow on it after the system has been silenced so that you can reset it without the smoke detector reactivating the fire alarms. I found that out from @FrostedStrobes video titled “System Test 26: WE’RE BACK!”

I'd say eBay is the best place to get them. Just know that chime strobes tend to sell for a higher price.

Its for in case someone gets stuck on the drain and the suction is too strong to get off so you push it and it cuts off the pump

I’m a lifeguard. The E-stop would be used if someone has a spinal injury and we need all water movement to stop. They are also used at wave pools for when a lifeguard makes a save, that way the lifeguard can get to the victim faster.

I have seen the emergency stop used on a water slide at a water park when someone lost something in the landing pool and they needed the water to stop moving so they could look for it.
