Day trip from Poole, Dorset to Cherbourg on the BarFleur Ferry on Friday 15th March 2024. As a foot passenger, the total cost for a return trip was £26.00 and to park the car in the port car park for the duration was £15.00. I felt the need to liberate 4 bottles of my favourite French wine, which is Sauternes, a sweet white dessert wine. Please enjoy a look around the facilities on board, as well as a good walk around the Cherbourg main shopping centre, situated about a mile walk from the ferry terminal in Cherbourg. The featured full English breakfast with a coffee was 11 Euro's.
Anyone on holiday in Poole or surrounding area, this will be a great day out to enjoy a relatively inexpensive day out. Don't forget your passport though. Ferry left Poole at 08.30 am, and we left Cherbourg at 6.15 pm. About 6 hours ashore, so plenty of time to ravage the duty free allowance. For a day out, this was a steal for the price, and I can thoroughly recommend it. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the trip and visiting Centre Commercial, Les Eleis, Cherbourg, France.
