Damn thats a nice ride! Grew up at the beach and always loved Contenders. Always been my dream boat. In reality something like a Scout or some more multi-purpose pleasure-boat-but-can-still-fish-it type would maybe be more appropriate for me if I'm honest lol.

I own a 32ST. I looked at Sea Vee , Invincible, Sea Hunter, Jupiter but I just like the look of the Contender. They just have a bad ass look going thru the water.

Great boat. I almost bought one, but went with a GW because the build quality was just better, there are little things you notice as a boat builder. The Contenders are more flashy though, which will attract more people.

Very cool Cody 👍🏼 Gradys are great. Just very different in performance in comparison to contender but At the end of the day it’s all preference, hope you’re enjoying the new boat!

@@LifeByTheBow Thanks. I have to slow down in the GW 326 often times where the Contender would do fine at higher speeds, modified V vs deep V. The Contender is a sports car, but is lighter (less glass) and will fall off plane at higher speed. As you note, the Contender is more efficient running fast, you just have to run fast. The GW has a more solid, thicker feel to me, with less flex, and I trust it with my family, but it is a heavier boat with a slighter dead-rise in the stern. If It was just me, I would get a Contender or more likely a Yellowfin, just a step above. Great video BTW, very well thought out. Keep it going, you do an exceptional job.

Very nice boat! Why no VHF radio? That' s primary comms on the water, and with DSC it's something anyone can use in an emergency.

I literally can't fathom a boat that costs $179,999. That's more than some people's houses. A $70,000 freshwater boat is nearly top of the line. Salt water is a different ballgame all together.

Had 3 contenders all 23' back in the early 90's and I did stuff to them that is being done today I was the first to put rod holders all around the boat like they do today and many things that contender does because we had become well know with the fishing in a small c/c. are first contender was 23' with twin 200 mercury's on it it ran 73 mph how do I know this is because FWC clocked me between north palm beach marina and blue herion bridge. And Yes contender is the best true sportmans boat out there. I own a 31 bertram now

Agree.I bought a 2004 Rinker 282BR brand new off the showroom floor for 60k.It has a 496/375hp mercruiser and runs strong.My dealer told me a boat comparable to mine is at least 150k.Sure the new ones have more bells and whistles but come on.These center consoles are stupid money.

We are planning on moving to Florida and will be ordering a boat. Would you be available to help us "fit out" the boat with all the proper fishing gear that we may need? We have no experience fishing. (I remember as a 12 year old catching a small fish on a lake with some old fishing rod at a friends cottage)
