It's so sad to know that a lot of kids are dealing with this issue. My school gives EVERYONE free lunch and breakfast (I don't understand why you have to buy it in the first place lol) but I wish every school did what my school was doing.

I am in middle school and I get free lunch. Unfortunately, I switched schools. Free lunch, but it tastes bad. Old school had free lunch but it was honestly the best food you would taste in the world.

Someone did that for me once at a grocery store. I got scammed out of money from my bank account. I didn't even know it. She paid for my entire grocery bill with a "God Bless." and left. I never knew her name. I saw her at my church that following weekend and we never even spoken before. She was new to our church so we never crossed paths. Our families very close friends now. It's a wild coincidence but apparently, things like this do happen.

I swear, the only thing my old lunch ladies did when we didn’t have money, was to throw away the food than let hungry children have it. This makes me happy that at least some people aren’t idiots and rather let a kid go hungry than just give the food, as it gets wasted anyways

This made me cry remembering how after my husband died without life insurance or anything trying to figure out how to be able to feed my youngest daughter and myself... We ate only a half sandwich each week... We were literally starving... No one helped us but our experience in life has made us very compassionate toward others in need... I love your stories because they are so real ❤️❤️❤️

I am ugly crying- UGLY crying. This type of kindness changes peoples lives, truly!! I grew up with not much income in my family due to my parents being divorced from a very young age and this utterly broke me to watch but in the end… I had complete chills. Thanks for sharing!
