Bobby Vee was and an icon. I was fortunate to meet him after a concert several years ago. He was incredibly kind, gracious and very friendly. In fact his sons were the same way not surprising. A wonderful family man and performer. Thank you Bobby for your friendship even if it was short lived. A fabulous singer but even more a fabulous man....RIP friend.

I absolutely loved Bobby Vee, he never did a bad song. A piece of who I am dies every time we lose a performer like him.

I am 26 years old and I love the music from the early days. Today's music is trash. I love singers like Bobby Vee, Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, (Jr), The Beach Boys I have a sad feeling that this music is slowly dying away and I find that is a horrible tragedy.

Hi, Bobby was my second cousin although I never met him. He was my brothers age. We shared an uncle. Oscar who was his dads brother. I have been a fan since I was seven. I am now 67 and still a fan. I'm glad his music is a part of my life. Bill Kidder San Diego

Back then all handsome young guys some couldn't sing but all named Bobby were doing most of the hits. It continued into the 1960s until Beatles & English singers took over making these still young guys either gone or doing small bars in nostalgia acts.
