@@Premenyc it’s closer to half and half. FBI statistics in 2010 states that 53% of people murdered knew their killer. In 2019 this number decreased to 41%. I do think this is because people are now killing for rank/to level up their name and not actual reasons/motives with the advancement of technology and weapons in general. Its a lot of random killings now. I do agree a lot of murders are spontaneous though.

You think that a dad that murders his whole family didn’t think about it before doing it? A kid shoots mom and sister? School shooter kills classmates? Neighbor tired of other neighbor? If 53% of people were killed by people they know I’m pretty sure the percentage of premeditation is just as high. Speaking from experience, I was shot by my neighbor. I guarantee you he thought about doing it before he did it. The closer the relationship the higher the percentage of premeditation.

As someone who lives a state away from NY where the murder rate is much higher than NY, only NY cares about this. No body is doing anything to his killer in Cali. I would stay away from the tristate however if he does pop in rap.
