Colorism derived from lighter skin people being treated better and desired more because of their light skin. Not the same thing. Mixing within the lineage makes lighter complected black people somewhere down the line. Blacks are supposed to be dark. Light skin is recessive. You can't down someone for desiring what their race is supposed to look like. It's definitely weird to want a black person to be light skinned when we are BLACK people. If that's the case, just date outside your race.
