Since Popcorn's recipe got so much attention and loved by all; I found this old videotaped news article from my local area. Long forgotten footage, but a great news story!

It’s a shame popcorn doesn’t know how much of a legend he became
@dickbiggerjr3613 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't think he would've cared much. You heard all he wanted outta life was that Ford,that banjo, and that woman. He wasn't looking for fame or notoriety. He was already a legend in his business and respected by his peers and customers before he died and that's good enough for an old mountain man runnin shine.

They drove this man to take his own life. Yet I bet the local dope dealer is still thriving in those parts. What a fucking world.

The Federal Government is responsible for his death . I met Popcorn Sutton at the Car Show in Maggie Valley on the corner of Hemphill rd. and Johnathan Creek in the cow pasture . Government is as cricked as a DOGS HIND LEG ❗️❗️BACK STABBING PIECES OF DUNG ‼️ Popcorn Sutton said F### You ‼️‼️

Rip Popcorn. My uncle and aunt live in Harlan kentucky and were lucky enough to meet him. Kind hearted man but would talk your ear off lol. I wish I got a chance to meet him too. I can’t believe my uncle and aunt got to meet him! When they told me my jaw literally dropped

I see a man living free while not hurting a soul. Terrible and embarrassing that the ATF decided to pick on a poor old man for no other reason then the governments the only only allowed to sell drugs and alcohol. 😒rip popcorn

It's not the tax dollars that they're concerned about. Government at all levels is full of Adolf Hitler wannabes who have a pathological desire to play God. And Popcorn wasn't going to be told how to live his life or what he could and couldn't do. That's why they persecuted him like they did

It’s crazy to think a mountain hillbilly with very limited technology knew the importance of sharing his craft with people of the future beyond his life

Well it's heritage I mean what do you think built the southern states after the Civil war? The illegal liquor business moonshining basically help fund this nation and a lot of people don't think about that a lot of regular people did this and still do it because it's our family heritage.

Genoa, get educated on the groceries growing out in the wild , God's grocery store and take popcorn recipe outside on a open coals to cook on , ramps , wild onions and garlic are there , pepper weed sage and wild parsley are there too , and would be used in emergency case situations like his, when using table scraps like was done during the depression error or hard times going on right now , but knowing the difference between false plants is important because queen Ann's lace and Angelica weed are similar but not the same when you are cooking, I love your video , I had the privilege to be there for that last run , my birthday is on the 18th of this month and at that time I'd just been back home from Los Angeles, not knowing that it would be the last time I'd get to dance a thump dance with him and Pam, my suggestion is to keep it real and as wild as our popcorn was and would be to this very day , I helped gather the wild seasoning put into it on one occasion when I visited. Peace Love to you and your house
