An average guy here in Donegal went to Medugorje and had a wonderful conversion so much so that he became a priest. He was renowned for his fasting and long hours of prayer and even became an exorcist. Some would say he died as a Saint.

All of The Blessed Mother's messages are imploring people to follow her Son Jesus Christ. She comes as a mother to us all, and directing us towards Jesus.

Something I find most interesting about these visions and visionaries is that one claims the Holy Mother has given her, the visionary, an actual physical document on which is written 10 prophecies. The document is not on paper as we know it to be. The document is to be kept secret from the world until such time as the visionary is directed to share a prophecy that is ripe for realization with a priest of the visionary's choosing, with the understanding that the priest will then inform the world. But no one can see this document or read it. Not even our Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth, the one leader of the church who sits in Peter's chair. So different and unlike other visions and visitations. So different from Lourdes and Fatima.

The Vatican never acts right away on the request of our Virgin Mother, look how long it has taken them to consecrate Russia, now because of the war and after so many innocents have died, they are willing to do it. Medjugorje apparitions have been for many years, same as Garabandal, our Virgin Mother is real🙏

Bayside New York apparitions were deemed not worthy of belief but I coverted back into my Catholic Faith because of my belief in it. I don't believe it anymore. My point is it isnt enough to say "you will know them by their fruit" because many conversions happened because of Bayside. Furthermore other factors play into a person's conversion, like good will of the converted and the Holy Eucharist which is the main part of our faith i have been a good practicing Catholic for 35 years and prayed my rosary and recieve the Eucharist daily. I conclude that God is ever Present that the Blessed Mother exists ASIDE from and DESPITE an alleged Apparition and we must put our faith in that truth. Our prayers reach heaven whereever we are.

How can the apparition at Medjugorje be real when it says all religions are equal before God?

It’s true that most of what Mary is alleged to be saying is vacuous. Why all the reported conversions and religious vocations though? I don’t know but there are too many questionable reports surrounding this phenomenon to my mind. If I could afford to go on a pilgrimage anywhere it would be to some place approved by the Vatican.

I think the Pope is only being cautious about encouraging a sort of "dependence" on Medugorje... I think his main concern is that especially new converts will be Medugorje-centred, rather than Bible or Church-centred. I too was converted at Medugorje, but my faith isn't dependant on the continuous messages from the Madonna (but in the beginning, it was!!) I think we have to see the ongoing apparations in a different light from those of Lourdes an Fatima and Kibeho. We live in the age of electronic and social media... and if the Madonna had only appeared 5 or 6 times, people might have long forgotten about Her appearance & messages!!!! So it's no coincidence that God chose this moment in time, where He knew that the messages would be translated and transmitted throughout the entire world in a matter of a few hours!! These messages from the Madonna have been drawing people to Medugorje from literally all parts of the world -- and whatever criticisms anyone might want to make, there is, as Pope Francis also admitted, NO DENYING the millions of conversions!! We all know that the Catholic Church is very much under attack from within and without. Many churches, tragically, have been destroyed or turned into museums or whatever, and millions have become lukewarm or abandoned the faith!! Honestly, without help from our most loving Mother of God.... where would we be???

Ivan lives in over a million dollar home & married a beauty queen….not like approved seers of approved apparitions. The sexual scandal: priest & nun who married and started their own new age cult…etc Just a lot doesn’t sit well.

I used to be strongly against Medjugorje ( i am now all for it). But it was the fact that pope francis was against Medjugorje that started making me think that maybe Medjugorje is legitimate. Funny old world! :-)

I went there in 1998 and have studied since. As a result of that study, I am now a seminarian working on my 6th degree. On my trip, I saw people fabricating "miracles", assuming authenticity ahead of the authority of the Church, and visionaries curiously holding Mary to their schedule and proclaiming cyclical messages that when followed for a short time appear to say the same things over and over. I also saw good people being duped by no fault of their own into believing falsehoods and the locals getting rich with religious gift shops and tourism on the backs of the same well meaning yet nieve faithful. I also saw the effects of genocide and ethnic discrimination between serbs and croats which played a critical part in the creation of this site. This site was only made possible by a combination of the divergence of missionaries sent in isolation behind the iron curtain who groomed "seers" as children. The spirit of fornication is rampant as many I know who have visited there return to live conjugal lives out of wedlock. As many good fruits can be attributed to faith and the Holy Spirit, as many, or more rotten ones can be attributed to the disobedience of proponents who rationalize this site as authentic ahead of due diligence. The cultural and ethnic tensions of the region fuel a distrust of the Church authority and treats it as if it is the Communist government. All the Bishops appointed in Medjugorje to include the conference of the Yugoslavian Bishops have all concluded there is nothing supernatural happening there. The local ordinaries have spoken from the pulpit there and been arbitrarily dismissed as nothing more than a figurehead. Nevertheless, the phenomenon continues unabated. Why is that one may ask? The proponents of the site myopically twist every explainable circumstance toward a self proclaimed ratification of the site. This fact alone should be enough to discredit their claims. That it does not, has something to say for a pilgrims need to believe blindly. I am sure God loves them and like myself, will reward their pursuits for truth with discernment and understanding as they move forward. None of this, ratifies Mary has actually appeared in Medjugorje or continues to do so at for Mirjana (who has purchased a Hotel and sanctioned illicit and thus invalid confirmations of children by a defrocked priest despite the pleading of the local Bishop not to do so) and for Vicka at her house where pilgrims gather or for Ivan whenever he chooses while on illicit tour of parishes in the US for which he was banned by the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, to support his luxurious mansion near Boston, Mass where he lives for 6 months of the year. Lastly, lest we forget the priest who initially groomed the children seers, Fr. Tomislav Vlašić, who was called to obedience by Rome after impregnating a nun and instead choose to renounce the priesthood. This claim has born no vocations in any of the seers as it has in other site approved by the Church. While I have been on many a pilgrimage and retreat, my own vocation has come as a result of not only faith and reason but obedience to the Church and her teachings. Not my visit to any one place. My conversion began with baptism and my reversion began before my trip.

I went there with my dear late father 1999, my father sat in Father Joso's chair..that church had fire from heaven come down, I could almost see it..I shook Visca's hand and it was electric - literally - I felt an electric current - I walked the hill where Mary fist appeared there to the children..barefoot, stopping at each station of the cross doing the Rosary. When I returned to the UK at the coach station was when I experienced "the Love", the most sweet, faith affirming love, I felt like a small child.

I think one must go to the place, see the fruits brought forth and then consider the information from different perspectives. Has Pope Francis been there? Has he experienced it? As a Catholic who heard of Medjugorje as a child, and who has gone there once, I still think sometimes …..”well maybe…but”…..however I think we all question at times the reality of God’s existence….trying to comprehend the magnitude of His love and mercy. I do know the peace I experienced as some 70,000 people stood on a rocky steep hill, of all cultures, different languages, in total silence…..watching the sun bursting with a pulsating rhythm (when I have a condition that makes my eyes so sensitive even on some rainy days I need sunglasses) and I could see this staring straight at it without it hurting my eyes or squinting. But the peace and joy, when all of those souls stood around me and you could just feel love, peace. What a world this could be if only everyone could experience such unity…..all love for GOD. The stories of conversion are impressive to me. I did feel the presence of God and the love of Our Lady, but it was the people standing together singing Ave MARIA! So sweetly. Nothing like it.

Wow.. Pope Francis has repeatedly pardoned men (in the priesthood) who were child molesters and covered up sex crimes within the church, believing that they were still ordained by God!! Some people allow their emotions to convince them of an apparition. Fatima, Lourdes, is enough. Do people need a buffet of supposed apoatitions to do what Mary requests?

Why wouldn’t our holy mother send us regular messages so that we can get closer to her son, our saviour Jesus Christ. We live in a world today governed by evil entities manipulating media and entertainment in order to keep us away from good. So if the fallen angel is so present and visible in our lives today in so many ways, example: internet, media, cinema etc.. Why wouldn’t god make his presence known by sending us our beloved mother to counteract all that is bad through messages aimed at making us rethink our lives, do acts of good and through regular prayer get closer to our lord.

So can we see these investigations somewhere??

During the time of the apparitions the Cold War ended, the Balkans descended into war, the war on Terror erupted and is now on its last legs, millions of babies have been aborted and millions more die of starvation and the internet has become of source of conflict between good and evil. Some catholics have left the faith and returned, others divorce in their 100,000s, while many catholics are afflicted by drug abuse and secular indoctrination...and the apparitions continue. People of Madjugurje can have normal mass,novenas, adorations and feasts traditionally. Instead of making publicising local of Bosnian people can have normal pilgrimage and your faith day by day increases. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ and mother Mary 🙏

Why can't you see the Virgen of Medjugore's feet ?

I love Pope Francis but he should be more cautious. If they are wrong and the latest apparitions are genuine, they are committing a grave sin.

Medjugorje generates conversions to what? Groupies for the seers? These are not conversions to the One True Faith. Are these converts praying the rosary daily? Going to daily mass? Confessing regularly? Or saying that all religions are equal in the eyes of God and His Most Blessed Mother?

Sadly All the evidence indicate that the apparitions at medugorje are not of supernatural origin.

AND. . . .we don't need the Vatican's approval as to whether the apparitions are real or not. Anything that is NOT from God will wither and disperse but anything that IS from God will offer the greatest of fruits!
