I am not catholic but I love what I have seen so far of him- his humility and honesty. Sometimes we forget that pastors (pope etc) are humans with their own struggles... so to know that he gets lonely too like other people make him relatable. I pray God's strength over his life; that he will continue the good fight under the wings of the most high.

Don't be deceived by his fake humility. It is not his humility what Catholic needs but leading them in the truth of God. Satan has his own ways of deceiving God's people. Don't you know that it was Francis who said that God is not a magician to create the world in 6 days, but the big bang and evolution concepts cannot be ruled out. So is he teaching you the Bible? Remember the Satan is disguised as the price of light. So do not be deceived by his fake humility, but examine whether he teaches the undiluted Word of God to his people and leading them in the right path.

"There are difficult moments where you feel alone, dry and without inner joy. There are bad moments of inner darkness. They do exist but it's so beautiful to follow Jesus and His path." This really hit home for me this morning. I woke up in a bad headspace and wanted to just not care about anything. Then I focused on Christ and prayed for strength to help me put aside my own ego and indifference. Im grateful to hear Pope Francis' words on this 🙏

I think Francis is an outstanding man, a priest, a gentleman and a person who really understands what being the Pope is really about. He has a particular ability to engage with young people as in this video.

What an amazing man. He certainly was crowned with faith, hope and charity in the day of his enthronement. And fully blessed with God's grace. This is the real crown of a pope.

Yes, you are right. He has to be free to speak "off the cuff". It's good priestly practice. But he is not new to teaching! He has developed his personal style over decades in the priesthood. His Jesuit training before ordination may have been as much as 10 years. So this is no time to be worrying about the doctrine of infallibility. I was told once that even Jesus made human mistakes! E.g. speaking of the Mustard Seed he was botanically incorrect. Amazing! But Jesus is divine AND human.

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. So he taught them the Our Father. No pope could change the words of Christ so your example is not much help. The rest of your comments suggest that you are in heresy - Are you one of the Michael Voris crowd? The majority of the world's priests are dedicated, prayerful and chaste. Pope Francis is deeply holy and will do everything he can to serve God's Church with the help of the Holy Spirit. How about supporting him with your prayers?

I don't think you are in a position to make these statements, Joseph Cade. It is only two months since Pope Francis began. He speaks and teaches every day and what he says is often very beautiful, joyful and rooted in prayer. Remember too - if you are a Catholic - that, given papal infallibility, the pope cannot teach error in matter of FAITH and MORALS. The Holy Spirit won't allow it. Had you forgotten that? .

that line he used "you feel dry with out inner joy" wrong the void in your heart isn't being fulfilled when you're not seeking The one and only God .... you cannot ask another human being who sins like you and I for forgiveness if God is using one human for his porpuse it's to humbly lead and help the person come closer to God but what you can't ever do is ask another human being for forgiveness because The one and true God doesn't authorize any of us that power .... question your religion question your "Pope" look at the structure of your churches look at the painting look at the saints you go to church ask God to help you understand this ....

Jesus said to Peter that He will build His Church on him, and that He will give him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. (Mt 16:18) So Jesus's Church is built on Peter (the pope). Not on Himself, but on Peter.
