Күн бұрынA couple of months ago we caught up with Ken Carson before his first show in Poland at Open'er Festival (exactly on June 28). It was freezing with heavy wind coming from the sea, but the Opium label representative was so nice that he spent almost an hour giving a few interviews and calmly answering all the questions.
We talked to Ken about breaking through in Atlanta, the work ethic he learned in Opium, his relationship with Playboi Carti, controlling his own anger, spreading good vibes and working on himself, the inspiration behind the "Project X" album and the best party he's ever been to, his freestyle approach to recordings, and also... about a joint album as a duo with Destroy Lonely. That's a great observation, I totally agree! Attention spans are short, and even nowadays there's a trend of sped up audio of people talking because they want to fit in too much within a 1 minute frame lol. While editing this interview, we wondered if we should speed up/shorten this "silence" part in the conversation, but finally decided to leave it as it was. I'm glad we did. All the best! / Marcin

i hope he’s doing good mentally, it seems like he’s always in a different country doing stuff he’s rarely at home just chilling and he said ‘drugs definitely work’ which worries me cus a lot of people have used drugs as a way to cope and got addicted, if he goes home for a period before antagonist i hope people look out for him cus it sounds like he’s been reliant on drugs to keep going with this lifestyle so when it calms down a bit i hope he’s not popping loads at home just to feel himself again

Eh, that's very true :( We had a chance to meet & interview Juice WRLD at the end of February, 2019 in his tour bus - he toured Europe as a support for Nicki Minaj. He spent like a 15 minutes frestyling for us on the bus too, the man loved this music for real, manager had to try to make him stop rapping. Precious memory. Such a talented and humble guy... That's a great point too, overthinking rarely leads to something good, we just end up worrying too much 😅 I guess that the "drugs" part might be problematic in interpretation because we don't really know what drugs he was referring to.
