I am so hype to see what’s coming on that new album. This video seems to me as a re-introduction to her blonde her and I think by the theme of this song that it will be a part of the narrative for the album, also introduce the sword that I think will be a predominant symbolic on this era. Hmm the album cover shes tied up with that sword. It’s titled “Zig” which makes me wonder… i feel like this will be a part of a bigger story and there probably will be a follow up rock sounding album titled “Zag”. Im just getting that vibe. A bit of a Zig Zag moment coming i feel like.

I honestly like this song alot but i am hoping for some heavier stuff on her zig album because i love both pop and heavy metal so it would be like a flux 2.0

This is a classy production, isn't it? I'm still working out what is going on with it. The reason that those chords you mentioned sound so dark, powerful and foreboding is that the song is in C minor- for some reason, this key sounds particularly dark and funereal compared with others. Classical composers like Beethoven liked to use this trick alot (e.g. the Funeral March in his 3rd symphony) . I'm glad this song got a release- she has been sitting on it for years.

I have a theory that the blond poppy is a knockoff robot (which represents her fake personality) and the black hair poppy is the real human (which represents her true self/personality) and in the album cover we can see her blonde self being held hostaged with a sword which could mean that poppy is trying to hide that fake self. well let me know what you think 😊
