In my personal opinion, i think CatNap really tought the prototype was there to save him, at first he is scared of "failing" him, then the prototype's hand turns into a motion of "come with me", a friendly way to put your hand to someone for them to trust you. This plus considering CatNap has alredy been in some kind of accident or on the brink of death, and he was saved by the prototype (Ollie tells us this), who sacrificed their own freedom to save CatNap (this is probably a misunderstanding seeing how Prototype opperates, but that is how CatNap sees it at least) tells us that CatNap trusted prototype, probably feared him, but saw him as kind of benevolant towards those who follow him, therefor, he gets back up, and trusts him, just to get impaled by the "friendly" hand of trust. Also i think your pastra's linked channe on the description is wrong? Near the end when someone mentioned catnap basically stalking the player throughout the game til the end just made me realize I think they utilized the fact that cats stalk their prey. The player is literally just PREY to catnap. He's simply stalking you until the right moment/near the end and then decides to attack. So cool, personally to me, that catnap has a cat aspect/trait to him. Also the fact that dogday is the ONLY one who lived (miss delight died, catnap died, and the smiling critters are inside of dogday.) makes me think that either hes making a comeback in the next chapter or its just that he's gonna die alone and controlled.
