After four years playing a character named Wil Wheaton on The Big Bang Theory, the real-life Wil Wheaton has made his peace with playing such a meta character on the nation's most popular television show. Wil visited our New York studio recently to speak about his adventures on television, his decision to get tattoos at age 40, and a new project he's embarked upon with Newcastle Brown Ale.

Probably editing but I laughed when he was talking about putting his wife's heart beat to his heart and she was like "okay one of the other projects your working on is..." Just glazed right over it. 😂 But his reasoning is cute.

I love Stand By Me. To be honest, never been a Star Trek fan. I have seen the movies for Philosophy but that is the extent.

I didn't have a problem with Wil Wheaton. I kind of liked his character. But interestingly and ironically, I think his best episode is in Season 5. (This was when he was just guest starring in a small handful of episodes.) "The Game" (S5 ep. 6) was my favorite episode that revolved around him.

seriously154 First off, you got the question wrong - Nathan was asking if it was true if the cast didn't like him, not the fans.Second, he wasn't well received among Star Trek fans - this is pretty common knowledge. It's not Wheaton's fault, because he was just a kid, but if you believe differently please provide us with a citation demonstrating that there was a large following of fans who liked him.
