Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, located on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand. Copenhagen is popular with tourists coming to Scandinavia. The city is also known for its cycling culture and extensive bike paths giving it a somewhat similar vibe like Amsterdam. Many tourists visit famous landmarks include the Little Mermaid statue, Tivoli Gardens amusement park, and Nyhavn harbor. The city is home to the University of Copenhagen, founded in 1479.
Our Copenhagen walking tour starts and ends at the Copenhagen City Hall. Within 2 hours we see much of the city center. We walk the Strøget, a famous pedestrian street lined with shops and cafes. Nyhavn is a must see, a historic harbor with colorful buildings and a popular spot for boat tours. We even get to Amalienborg and basically walk all around the very center as you can see in the route preview.
