I was 10 when this Unplugged came out. I was raised in a strict religious conservative household surrounded by ignorance and misogyny. Seeing Eddie write “PRO CHOICE” on his arm, on the biggest music show on tv at the time, when he could’ve written literally anything else, changed my life as a female. I have children that are nearly grown now, but I have never stopped fighting for women’s right to control their own bodies. Thank you Eddie, you may not know how much of an impact you had with that one little act, but it meant a lot to a lot of girls/women.

Such a fucking honor to be coming of age at the same moment this flash of brilliance reached its apex. We are a small and distinct group. Back in the days when music ment something. When bands put in months and even years to make a record..written by themselves, after years searching their common DNA and mastering their instruments in a garage or outskirt studio somewhere… I miss those days. And in those days MTV played music as the abbreviation said and still do. I will never forget when my best friend bought Ten in our local record store in northern Sweden, put it on his hitachi… the rest is history

Ok. Instead of wasting time and energy explaining "how", I think you should focus on the second word Eddie Sharted (not the sh!t fart kind, but the Sharpie tattoo kind) his arm with. I love the power of free will and the ability to choose what I like and don't like.
