On the ground, the two pilots compete over the affections of Gina, a beautiful cabaret singer. But it is in the air, with Fio, a young and talented airplane engineer/designer, where Porco's true battles are waged.

I'm from Italy and I wonder why this film is not so known here! it is based in Italy and all the main characters are Italian - and Myazaki is well known here too!

I remember when I was 6 and my mum used to rent DVDs from the library and one of them was porco rosso. This film is one of the key factors that gave me inspiration and a passion in making planes from a very young age. That's the only reason why I'm trying to do aerospace engineering in University. Thank you so much

I haven't watched the movie, just reviews and trailers... but this is the trailer that makes me want to watch it 100%... I like how old trailers used to be so mysterious...

小学生の頃塾の先生におすすめされた映画。家のジブリ全集の中にはあったけど、あの頃の私には聞き馴染みがなくて今まで食わず嫌いしてたことを死ぬほど悔やんだ記憶、、今はジブリの中で1番好き

This is literally one of THE best films ever. The scenic stuff, the whole vibe was amazing and i have watchint like, 20 times over my whole life since i was 3 years old. Thats how great this movie is. When i could't find popular videos discussing this movie i was dissapointed because it really is one the most underrated movies ever. I love it with all my soul.

Just bought an art book based on this film at a convention. Such an underrated masterpiece, 30 years later it has not aged a day.

I'm Japanese and I have just watched this film for the first time. The reason why I watched this film is because one of my favorite lofi music videos on KZfaq was using Gina's image. I am glad that I watched it. It reminded me of good old day vibes that I have never experienced. I especially loved the obaachan and all the ladies..not just Porco Rosso 😎 Very good story.
