It is very unique that this band has the ability to sound better live , than their actual recordings. Im speechless 😦

I don't know why, but this was the first Porcupine Tree song that blew my mind. Before this, I only knew their most popular songs and none really appealed to me, until I heard Russia On Ice. Now I saw every concert and interview one can possibly find and I'm a fan.

Hey guys this song is completely on alcoholism...and arguments due to sore words after getting drunk Russia on ice here is another name for vodka... He says ''Russia on ice is burning a hole''....hole is a metaphor for throat.. He says vodka is making his throat say these sore words...but he can do anything... "can't stop myself drinking, can't stop being me" He tries to be someone so that that these fights get over but is not able to...that's why he cant stop drinking....

@@kida4313 the difference is that you literally cannot compare Gilmour and Wilson to Bieber. I know music is subjective and people will like what they like. I stand by the fact that there isn't such thing as 'bad' music. However, the fact that Steven wrote nearly everything for this band and then produced countless more projects, masters, mixes, side projects, etc. I just don't think you actually can compare the two. Steven is just light-years better than bieber

So did Chris Maitland do the amazing backing vocals on that stunning chorus?? Omg. You know, i thought he was underrated, but now i'm sure. I like Gavin, but to be "better" you don´t need to do something technically complex or doing solos all the time. It´s like to say a bassist from a funk rock band is the best just because he does solos or slapping.

I agree. Gavin is one of the best drummer in the world but Maitland had a unique touch with PT. To me it feels like he let more space for the other members.
