This cooking video will show you how to cook pork kare kare. This recipe makes use of pork pata or hock. It is delicious, tasty, and best eaten with bagoong alamang. This yummy Filipino food is best when eaten with warm white rice. Enjoy!
Here are the ingredients for this recipe:
4 lbs. pata (pork hock)
1 Knorr Pork Cube
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 bunches baby bok choy or pechay
12 pieces snake beans (sitaw), cut into 2 inch pieces
2 medium eggplant, sliced
1/4 cup achiote (atsuete) seeds
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 medium onion, minced
3 quarts water
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup bagoong alamang (cooked)

Adobo, sinigang na baboy (or simpler but equally delicious shrimp version), chicken afritada and giniling are the ones I have learned so far, though my girlfriend has made me others like bicol express and a few others. This recipe is good! It's better than your other recipe with the Banana blossoms. Used 1kg of Pata then halved everything else. I also used a pressure cooker for 30 mins., in place of the 60-minute boil. Using a chunky PB is nice if you like nibbling on peanut bits.

Should've used the pork stock you got from tenderizing the meat instead of using artificial flavoring (knorr pork cubes). If you wanted to remove the scum, then skimming could've done the job. You wasted a lot of flavor in the stock.
