Let me start off my stating something that should be evident already.
The characters featured in this video should never be referred to with the full names of the real people they were based on.
Not only is it highly disrespectful (especially at this point of time), but you are contributing to the creator's online profile. Although this may not appear to be a bad thing, it is important to understand that online profiles are important. It can effect the jobs or real life situations you are in, and considering the Eddsworld fandom, this can be very damaging to the creators' lives.
Even if you believe you are doing nothing wrong, at least be considerate towards them, especially after everything they have been put through. Patryk has already stated this, and if you still believe that it is fine to use their real full names then kindly leave.
Either don't use surnames or use alternate surnames for Eddsworld characters. Patryck and Paul should be referred to as "Pat" and "Pau".
Now that that's out of the way, here's some additional information on TomTord itself.
TomTord has gotten a lot of hate from the fandom, but also the most love ironically. I have no doubt this is going to be one of my most disliked videos, and because of that I was hesitant to make it. Tom and Tord strongly dislike each other, so one might ask why people ship them. I cannot speak for everyone in the fandom, but I do know that there are many people who have similar ideas as I do with the ship.
Personally, I've found that TomTord opens up opportunities for a lot more new and interesting branches of uncanon stories (for example: this video). This reasoning also extends to ships such as TomEdd and TordEdd, which also brings up complex story ideas. In all honesty, I love all ships, but TomTord just happens to be my favourite.
As said in the video, I always encourage respect when it comes to fandoms. This can be with the naming situation or shipping. If you ship something else that's fine, if you don't ship any characters at all that's also fine.
However, I am highly against outright hating on others for having different preferences. You are entitled to your own opinion, but bringing others down because of it is immature and unnecessary.

Apologies for the wall of text, I just wanted to speak my mind about the situation.
This took way too long, whoops.
I have a dozen videos in my head, and I finally wanted to start making them. This video took approximately 2-3 weeks, spending about every bit of time after school, before work or all day on it.
I will start making another video soon, promise. I only post speedpaints because I don't want my channel to be dead. :,)
