Also, his story shows, at least to me, that there are probably many many people who need more emotional intimacy before sex and who feel strange for feelings that are very normal. As a soul love mentor at Ecstatic Intimacy, it is part of my job to make couples realize there is a difference between plain sex and intimacy. When you love someone, intimacy should be there. A person values the feelings of their partner and doesn't just think of oneself when having sex.

Casual sex does cause problems, but also offers some sort of social interaction and connection as well as short term pleasure . It is sadly the closest some of us who have C-PTSD can get to "love" as social connections are problematic for us. That being said, I am personally learning, healing, growing out of the worst aspects of my C-PTSD (thank you You Tune "fairy"!) so I am optimistic I will stop using sex as a substitute for real love in the future.

I've been working through my issues with pornography and PTSD as well as other issues related to my psychology, spirituality, my urges, my compulsions, my sin.. ... today I've been fixated on Jordan Peterson prospective on pornography and has really helped me as he's explained to me for one the reasons for the shame and guilt afterwards, talking about performative contradiction, the act of acting out of a lie. Anyway the point of it is I know that my issue stem from wanting intimacy as well as trying not to think of the pain that I suffer during my formative years. My introduction into pornography happened this way, I was molested at the age of six and a half by my older sister, my stepfather had molested my younger sister my older sister, and brought pornography into the family home married to my mom who had suffered battered woman syndrome as my father used to rape in feet her and she ran away from that situation trying to survive with four kids, so in hindsight I understand whatever she did in the midst of her pain suffering and temporary Madness most likely submitted to this kind of situation. About 15 again around my time with pubescence I was coming home from watching that movie with Dustin Hoffman about Mrs Robinson and I got into the movie surprisingly because I was none of the age to see it but it was a pretty it was sexual in nature. I came home from the movie and upon walking up to the family home, this man's car parked outside which told me that my mom and him were home, I came to the door knocked on the door and no one answered. I knocked again and again no one answering. I was angry and then I went to the back of the house to see if I can look into the window to get a sense of what was going on, and was able to see inside by way of a gap in the blinds. Before me the first thing I saw was my mom sitting on top of an ottoman wearing a top and some shorts with her arm extended to the right and upon following where her arm was drawn to sore that our hand was attached to the penis of my stepfather who was sitting naked in a rocking chair. As that site repulsed me and shocked me at the same time as I looked further there was an 8 mm projector that was position and as I look beyond the projector I saw that there was a screen that was showing an 8 mm black and white porn movie. I would have to say that I was sexually frustrated trying to understand sex in the midst of my pubescence and my sexual drive and interest in women that I found was interested in body types and aroused by things overly so I believe based on the fact of the molestation. I had asked my mom what sex was all about and she said that a man and woman get together and got takes over, but apparently I don't see how God was involved in this other than that which I saw before me, the next thing I realized the surge of lust Came Upon me that was overwhelming intoxicating and took me over and from then on I found myself driven to follow that drug of intoxication of lust, mine altering moment insisting that it was so incredibly powerful that I was helpless to resist it. I Stopped watching porn maybe 8 years ago when I was in a rutt. It marks my turn around as a person. I know some other people that stopped, and also feel the same way I do. Most benefits are: More women become beatiful More energy More motivated to become a better person so I could find a partner. More motivated to have find a partner. I lost my virginity about two months ago (22 years old) and it was via an arranged, "casual" booty call. I've always been an advocate of long-term relationships and I've always felt like the best part about sex is the feelings that you have for each-other (manifested physically), although I of course couldn't really judge it, having never done it. It really is an issue. You don't realize it at first, but it really changes your perspective on a lot of things. Obviously how you view women, no matter how good your intentions are.

Perhaps an issue isn't also just the physiological aspects to as why young men turn to porn but indeed psychological and even life style. I mention life style because for most young men these days we're too busy either obtaining an education, are not making/spending our money on dating because we'd prefer to be drinking with our friends into poverty. It is worth noting the ever increasing paranoia of committing to a dangerous woman. Porn is used almost as an alternative, especially by men who haven't succeeded in becoming stable income earners. Perhaps there might also be some changes needed in our daily lives which might trigger/reinforce the porn consuming behaviour, so it's best to keep an eye on what compels one to bring up the incognito windows.

Here's a question: Psychologically speaking, let's say there is something that a person thinks they need to obtain and that they have been trying to obtain. Let's say it's a status, or companionship, or generally speaking, success in some context. That person has, however, never been able to obtain that something. The need somehow seems to be perpetuated with every attempt to achieve that goal. So that persons assumption that they need that something gets stronger with every failure to obtain it. What is it that this person has to experience to realize that they don't need it?

The problem with porn is not about watching it, it's about deep unfulfillment with life, with self. The solution is not to avoid porn or to put yourself through anguish by avoiding porn, but to make yourself be more satisfied and fulfilled with your life. At 66 years old having posted about how I got into pornography in the first place I am still working on other issues in regards to my personality , my psyche , my mindset , workinh through truama rooted in the violence of formative year abuse, going to prison, mandated mental health hospitals, homelessness, My Mind Set throughout my life rooted in shame guilt regret that was established . Aside from the sexual abuse itself realizing that I have sexualized women all my life and it would be nice to meet somebody but I really am trying not to work on me right now and not think about sex as a primary way to engage in any kind of relationship with a woman though it I guess it's there that sexual attraction whether you're aware of it or not but I'm learning how to meet people in general , as I Meet myself and be a piece of myself , let alone if I did meet a woman I do not want to start chasing after someone if that makes any sense other than again the developing a friendship is primary and at the root of any kind of interaction for me right now especially with women then I'll learn as I go and along the way find out as I'm growing in any particular relationship where maybe in the midst of meeting another where we're growing in like-mindedness and enjoying each other's company something may come of that and then cross that bridge when you get to it
