Doesn't look like a Sq7 or q7 v12 tdi. Think just a 3.0 tfsi or tdi. Porsche only gaining over 180 and the audi is 1000kg more heavy 😂

Looking on the internet, I found that the 718 Cayman/Boxster has 281 WHP! That kind of power translates to about 330 HP at the crank.Meaning their power are heavily underrated by the factory. On the other hand, the SLC 43 AMG got the power as advertised with about 311 WHP (370 HP on the crank). So with just 30 WHP advantage, the Mercedes can’t overcome the lightweight, mid engine 718. That explains the initially odd result.

Wow it's incredible the fact that the 718 (not even the best model) won with a little 4 cilinder with 70 hp less, anyway the merc wins on the sound (I know, the 718 won cuz it's lighter)

Sound aside??? Not like sound is one of the biggest aspects in a sport car and this Porsche has the fucking 4 cylinder Vacuum cleaner sound! Both cars are not worth its money: Mercedes is outdated and old, and the vaccum cleaner errrr... Porsche 4 cylinder has a boring engine. I mean it's a Porsche, right, not a fucking civic.... Why would somebody pay more than 80k for 4 cylinders. I would choose the z4 in this category, coming from a Mercedes fan.

@@absolutium3 years later, the 718 is still keeping their price. It’s a Porsche and it’s the best mid engine platform Porsche ever did, in terms of performance it’s far superior to any mid engine model Porsche ever released, much more refined. The 2.5 liter with a simply exhaust, panel filter and tune keeps up with twin turbo 911s and GT models, and IMHO it sounds really good and better than 95% of the cars you see in the streets. Watch them rise in price as Porsche make the mid engine full electric.

I do as well, Mohammed. The SLC is powerful enough for the roads it will drive on and it seems a much more smooth ride than the Porsche. And I prefer the looks and design of the SLC. Its a far more beautiful car. Hopefully we can both own one some day. Enshallah.

The SLC’s real top speed must be MUCH higher without the limiter (you can tell by the upshift at 260)

SLC is an ancient relic, kind of a pointless comparison. Still , it has a fantastic V6, one of the nicest sounding V6 turbos there is. As you'd expect frm AMG.

As far as tuning is concerned though, a very simple chip tune would put the Mercedes a lot farther ahead. In terms of Driving dynamics, it's probably unquestionable that the Porsche is better.

The cars have ben not launched in same way!!! The boxter was reved up the 6000 rpm when it was launched the slk was launched at 1000 rpm !!

@@Semo11044 nah bro,i had a 335i(worst one)🤣 a e92 m3(spun a bearing) and now a new M6,several breakdowns,even tho i do even more maintenance than needed,normal bmw's/old ones are hell of a lot more reliable,but now they are shit,looking forward to buy an e63 or something....

@@adriigonzaalez1788 Luck of the draw I guess. I stayed away from the 335i because of it’s reputation. But I have had luck I guess with my E39 M5 and my 325i. Never got an issue except for keeping up with maintenance.
