The last analog Porsche with Naturally Aspirated engine is 997.2 with manual handbrake and hydraulic steering, the 991.1 is just the last NA engine but truly digital in every driving sense with electric steering and hand brakes. The 997.2 is the last model made by Porsche before VW bought Porsche making a true collectors classic.

I have the 991.1 C2 and the way you laughed incessantly after doing launch control is EXACTLY what I do every single time. It NEVER gets old. I’ve put 50k miles on it in the last 2 years and it I can confidently say that for me it is hands down without a doubt the best car in the world. I was thinking of selling my 05 997 Carrera and get this newish Carrera. It fits buy budget. However I am worried that it may be under powered if I dare say this. Not that I am wanting tons of powers. I mean where this Carreras stand out is on twisty roads.
