On the way to the Wilton House Classic & Supercar Event this year, we headed to an airfield for a little bit of drag racing, during which we filmed 2 of our friends going head to head in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and an Audi R8 V8, check it out!

It depends what he means by "tuned". Some people just mean like an ECU remap (which I agree would probably not help much on an NA engine like this) but other people refer to pretty much any performance upgrade as tuning, so he could mean its getting all sorts done to it

Yeah and the V10 wheels, but I'm pretty sure the headlights are the V8 style ones (and I don't see the V10 logo on the side) so maybe they've just had the V10 exhaust and wheels put on a V8

but the v10 have over 500 HP the porsche 450 HP the v8 have 430hp it is balanced with the v8

The v8 version of the R8 was never designed to achieve blisteringly quick speeds on the drag strip, let alone beat a much more powerful gt3 rs in a clearly unevenly matched drag race. Instead, the v8 iteration is intended to tackle corners at incredibly high speeds with virtually unmatched precision.

Porsche has the best acceleration lol an Audi is like a child compared to the porsche and especially a gt3 that's literally for a track

So youre implying the gt3 rs is not meant to be even more precise? smaller engine and intended for track use and corners yet it still fucked the audi up

Geogieporgie lol are you mad? The gt3 will eat an r8 for breakfast on a track, if anything r8 will only stand a chance in a straight line. Gt3 built specifically for track, not drag

alanBh78 that funny because the owner has a youtube channel himself :P he lives in london, and it was wrapped army green along sides shmee150's r8 v10 which was wrapped midnight pruple :)

shmee150fan It's not the same . The V8 has 4 for exhaust, The V8 has 4 blade on the back , the V10 has 2 blades like here. The specificity of the V10 is it has the back in Black laquered like here. In the front , the V10 has two blades on the aerators like here not 3 like the V8..

Amin El Why?! His statement says absolutely nothing about his knowlegde of cars...only about personal taste and priorities! Maybe he just dont' want a pure hardcore "drivers car" like GT3-RS?! I would prefer the GT3-RS, but some people just aren't into the 911's... the look, the wierd weight balance etc. And if you were allowed to have only one car, I can understand why some would choose the R8: The RS might not be easy to live with every day, with hard suspension and thin race seats, plus some prefer 4WD sportscars!

Dude do you even read english?! I know Audi make top quality engines, no one said anything about a shitty engine in the R8 "except in your imagination" !! I was just saying that a mere tune is less than enough to beat a GT3 RS, learn your stuff...or you know what; just resume playing Need For Speed rather than pretending to be Mr.Clarkson :)
