Today I drive the Porsche 991 Carrera S 911 and Review it and take it for a POV Drive. I love POV drives and what better car to take than a first generation naturally aspirated Porsche 991 Carrera S 911 and review it and do a walkaround. I think 991.1 is best looking 911 ever, but I would prefer the 997.2 because the manual is a 6sp vs the 7sp, which a lot of people don’t like. Second, the 997.2 has hydraulic steering vs electronic steering in later cars.

Good point. I own a 991.2 with the 7 speed and rarely if ever use 7th gear. I would like to own a 997.2 one day as well

I have 991.1 c2s 7spd. I don’t have any problem with 7spd to be honest

Great video, always wanted to hear opinion of 991.2 owner on 991.1. I have doenshifted from 992 to 991.1 because of NA engine+7spd man. Best car decision of my life. It is the most fun car ever for me

Test drove the 992 earlier on and some time after that the 991.1. When compared in terms of the vibe/feel. The NA is just raw and so more pure. The 992 for me was muted. Struggled to hear the engine eventhough on sports plus.

I also prefer naturally aspirated cars. This one has a modest back seat which is a plus and definitely good collector value.

I think I would still prefer a 997 or your car. I think the quality was not that great in these early 991 cars. I do love the back end of the 991 cars and with 3 kids at home appreciate the bigger back seat. You could actually see the motor in the 996 and 997. Thanks for the review! Will we ever to get to see the garage where you keep your small fleet or are they spread out over various places.
