Porsche Cayenne Check Dipped Beam [HID Bulb Replacement]

Got the check dipped beam message. The right front low beam HID bulb went out with this message. If you have this message and one of your low beam bulbs is out, that's probably what it is. There have been known issues of it being other things though. I hope this video was helpful, please Like and Subscribe.

Awesome Guide Kamal! The aftermarket HID Xenons are $20-$30+ on Amazon, they last upto 3 years. All Chinese but does the trick.

Ahh, makes sense. I figured there was probably a cheaper way. Just went to a parts store so we could replace it the same day. Thank you for the comment.

I had the same fault, I popped out the light unit and put it back in and problem resolved. 👍🏻😎

OK. So I have an "06 Cayenne S. I have had the check dipped beam warning if my car dips, sometimes when I turn a corner, and sometimes, when I'm just sitting at a red light. After taking my car to several places and paying a lot for fishing expeditions with no resolution, as well as contacting Porsche for help, I replaced the entire headlights/housing. I was ok with that, cause now I have nice, clear headlight covers. Unfortunately, the problem remains. I have a lot of electrical problems. I don't know if the wires have been chewed on or what. I have heard that BMW had a lot of problems with the wire casings, because they were trying to be green, and the wires were covered with a coating that included soy. And rats find that tasty. Anyway, I just don't know what to do about it. My radio dial doesn't work; my radio volume doesn't work. It still works on the steering wheel. But sometimes when I turn a corner, my volume shoots up in a split second, to I can't even tell you how loud -- beyond anything. Anyone out there have the same issues? Porsche and independent mechanics can't find anything...

I have a 955 Cayenne S with 215K miles. Yea... Those bulbs a the parts store is way too high, I get mine on EBAY. I just have an issue with water getting in my headlights after rain & I have that same gap you have. Is there any way to close that gap??

Hey I appreciate the video it was very informative but I still have no power to the head lights even with new bulbs. Any idea where to go next to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

i have the same issue too! Fuses are good but cant seem to figure out the root of the problem :/

@@RathOne123 have you replaced the headlights yet? If it still doesn’t work I would check to see if the electrical wiring are still insulated then maybe look into a new ballast if that isn’t the issue? You will know it’s a ballast problem if you switch your right and left ballast to see if the bulb works or not

@@henrytran9832 Wow really they are interchangeable? I figured they would be molded into a fixed Left and Right design...okay I'll try that!
