I drive and do a brief review on a friend's 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. This particular Cayenne Turbo has 22" wheels. The 2008 Cayenne came from the factory with 19" and 21" wheel offerings.

To launch the turbo (I have 957 turbo S) foot on the brake, bring the rpm up to 3000 and at the same time you release the brake gas to the floor, that's how you crush the opposition!

Mine is Auto, no clutch, has torque converter.

I have same model Cayenne Turbo and i like it very much. I have 570hp and 800nm torq. I pull sometimes 3500kg car trailer and the Cayenne is the best trailer tractor what i am driving. Cayenne is : sport car,SUV,touring car,trailer tractor and luxury car together...

I know this videos probably old but I have a 957 Twin Turbo S oh my God it's unbelievable and I have it cat delete straight pipe tune in to 620 horsepower in the rear I have 315 in the front I have 305 you are talking about a scary vehicle I love it now I'm looking for a 911

Porsche Sport do a load of goodies 4 it, but top of your list should be a Garrett Gt40R turbo, easy 750hp.

Considering a GTS model. Less turbos = less repair costs. Hearing that the 2008 957s are pretty reliable. These are under 15k now with higher milage used ones.

you shouldn't have any worries, the likelihood for a Turbo (or Turbo S) to break down are about the same as the other models. Have the Turbo S now but had a GTS. I do miss how the handling on the GTS felt more natural and easier even without PDCC, and the sweet throaty sound of the GTS in sport mode will make your spine tingle. Overall, the GTS is sportier than the Turbo in my opinion / experience

poloboy but is the GTS turbo ? If not the performance shouldn’t be nearly the same if not far from it ? Never try but I try a grand Cherokee SRT-8 with 475 hp and man was I impressed so à Cayenne turbo with 500 hp should be in the same leagues but with much more class 👍

@Claude Baron It's weird to be honest, the Turbo S is much faster than than the GTS which is naturally aspirated, but the handling on the GTS was sportier than my current Turbo S. The GTS had a throaty sound that you could activate by hitting the Sport button, the GTS sat a bit lower (which probably makes sense in the better handling) and I believe it was lighter and less insulated (you can hear more road noise on the GTS) than my Turbo S. Overall though, the Turbo is much better in sense of raw power, but it's much quieter too LOL, pretty much as you mentioned, more class PS: Tu parles français mec?

mitchiejkc the cayenne 955 is not so reliable but it's the 1st gen so it makes sense to annextent. The 957 on the other hand, (this model) i've had two: zero problems lol (except for the known drive shaft issue, which is an easy fix, and i work on my cars myself for the most part)

@@brightmind9071 mine has GTS aero sides and arch extensions with double rear spoiler, black pillars, 21” option wheels, BOSE, heated front and rear seats, PDCC and is finished in triple black. Looks like a Mafia wagon!

and thats the problem! your exaust open that up and your torque will go up.. thats what i did and it gave me 8 more hp 6 more trq

The thing you say when you floor it that it’s slow and then at 3500 rpm it goes it’s totally normal coming from a turbo engine it’s what they call turbo lag and since it’s a 2008 turbo anything has always been like this I know it’s a totally others ball game but I have a Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 turbo and the evolution of turbo is very easily noticeable since the lag is noticeable only in the beginning like what you said with the Porsche but when your cruising and you floor it a normal turbo engine will do the same hesitating thing before launching for the moon but mine since ( evolution) the turbo is twin scrolls and that almost eliminated the hesitating completely and for my opinion the turbo is by far the best invention in the mechanics industry for a long times it was troubles in many ways but now today’s with the price of gas not helping lollllll there’s more and more turbo engines because you can have a small engines performing like a big one without The pricy gas prices... that is if you not driving it like a race car if you drive normally the fuel economy is not that bad but when you want to pass or occasionally have some fun the power is going to be a the rendezvous but when you slow down you don’t feel like theirs a hole in the gas tank but event if I’m happy with my little Hyundai the Porsche Cayenne turbo has always been one of my dream cars and even in 2018 I would be very happy to have a 2008 like this one ..... that is until something brokes then I would cry for the costs it will be to repaired it 😂😂

Brett Holness the key hole in Porsche’s are always next to the door. The reasoning was so race car drivers can turn their Porsche’s on and buckle their seat belt at the same time. Cool car by the way!!
